No headset with Xbox One - WTF

The headset with the 360 was one of the main reasons for its success. PS3 online is normally a ghost town because hardly anyone talks. It made 360 the number one choice for online games.

Even Sony realised this, that's why PS4 comes with a headset.

How could MS be so blind to one of their main reasons for success this gen.

There si no point for it anymore.
The Kinect has voice recegnition so there will not be any background noise.
I have not read that the PS4 ships with one
Turtle Beach is making the XBONE headsets which is a good thing because if you was using a normal headset on XBL you were doing it wrong.

does not matter to me,i don't really like consoles very much,usually pick 1 a gen next to my pc to play console exclusives.

I don't think the lack of a "bundled" headset it a big deal at all. The one that comes with 360 is like a $.99 headset.

Now if for some reason they require some proprietary port, and they don't adopt bluetooth or USB for chat (i.e. blocking out pretty much every headset you can buy). Then MS has gone full re...(you know what).

Open mics like that especially mounted right above your tv causes more problems than anything. Also lets be honest most of the convos we have with our buddies over XBL probably shouldn't be heard or listened to by the entire fam :P

It will have a different proprietary mic port on the controller that wont use current mics.

It's just MS changing it to make so only mics they want used for the port can be used.

I hadn't heard of such a massive impending failure since the ZUNE was announced a few years ago, everything about this console reeks of cheap consumer hating tactics. The global rejection of this device will pave the road for another near PS2 era degree of dominance of the PS4 over the competition. Sony has the ball rolling.
