Seriously, I know people look back with nostalgia about previous gens, but I cannot think of a more exciting time for video games.

We have had Mass Effect 2, GoW3, FF13, Heavy Rain, Bad Company 2, Bioshock 2... the list goes on... AND IT's ONLY March!

God, we nearly had GT5 also...

Seriously though, aside from now, what has been the most exciting period for games you can remember?

2004-2007: Developers were willing to push themselves into utilizing the full potential of PC hardware at the time. That, and HL2 made my day.

They still do, kinda. Latest PC games have been Stalker COP and Napoleon Total War, and they push systems to the limits.

True. Then again, we'll have to wait for Crysis 2. it's half game, half benchmark.

Napoleon Total War didn't push your system? Really? Have you been in any big battles?
