I was going over the games I was planning to get for each console this year, and this is 2 damage to Wii. I haven't played anything but ExciteBike and Super Mario World in a month and a half and will be brushing the dust off to play Super Paper Mario, but then what after that? If they make this the holiday game are they going to get out SS:BB for summer and push back SMG?

When it comes to Metroid, Mario, and Zelda, a delay MEANS SOMETHING. If any of those games get delayed, they'll be THAT much better when the come out.
I have no probs waiting for those franchises. I want to have every oppertunity to do those ones right.
Anybody who was expecting any of those big 3 before the holidays was delusional anyway. At best only two will make it for Xmas. There *is* more on the system than just Nintendo games, you know. My 3rd:1st party ratio is currently 5:1 with another 6 3rd-party games on my to-buy list from what's currently out. ;>

yes this stings but are you kidding when you say that's all it has? just because this game isn't coming out now doesn't mean that the rest of the games are simply going to vanish. I'm betting that it get's released this fall sometime b/c it was originally planned for launch. besides, if it actually does get pushed back even more, it'll give me more to look forward to in 2008;) reason for that, Ninty wouldn't want these games all released this holidy b/c they would cannibalize each others sales.
Meh, I'd rather have a Metroid Prime game than a Red Steel with a thin veneer of Samus pasted across it. Red Steel is the perfect example of what happens when a game should be delayed and isn't.

Well, I didn't say I didn't respect their decision, just that I wish I was playing Metroid Prime 3, perfected, at launch.
I hope this delay is due to Retro pumping a lot of extra content into the game, like a robust online mode for instance. I was under the impression that the game was near completion a while ago, so for them to continuously push it back had better mean they're packing that disc full of greatness beyond our comprehension.
Yeah, this definitely hurts the Wii's lineup this year, but considering that there have been some great announcements such as Nights and other unannounced games, there is still much to look forward to this year. Plus, Metroid Prime 3 wasn't in my top 10 list, so it doesn't really affect me :P

considering resident evil 5 and gears of war 2 are christmas titles of 08 at best?....... MP3 will still most likely come out this year. If it doesnt then its probably going to be early 08. They also supposedly redid the graphics engine also.

I read the original interview.. Reggie NEVER said "Back end of 2007," Gamespot said that! He said it won't make the June launch so it will launch anywhere between July and December!

I just hope No More Heroes is worth purchasing. But, I fear for it too much to be sure now. Assuming that it's good, it would be second most anticipated for me, based on cool factor alone. Currently, SSBB has that spot.
I always suspected that there was no chance that all 3 big nintendo games (smg, ssbb, mp3) will release this year. One of them will be released January or February next year. It will probably be mp3. that just makes sense- nintendo rarely likes competing with itself. I could be wrong, I can see how having a strong a lineup as possible for christmas is important, but that's just how i see it.
