Looks like Xbox is copying the PS Plus tier model now 😎 thoughts, SW? XBL Gold offerings were pretty bad so this is not a bad idea.

The pricing seems odd. $1 is the difference between 25 games and hundreds… And day one releases…

Seems like a good idea to me. Currently subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate and worth every penny. 😎

especially with this Activision deal, can’t see them giving away so many games for cheap.

Core is designed to kill gold and itself.

Won't be subbing to GP, MS can get fire trucked. If they scratch gold, then I won't be buying games with MP in them, simple as that.

Secondly my Gold doesn't run out until next year, and I can purchase 10yrs worth of gold if I want to.

MS will have to abide by my purchase and except the codes every year because in my country we have the ACCC who look after people against big corporates like MS etc.

@last_lap: Remnant 2. MS would just covert your gold to Gamepass Core if OP is correct.

They're doing the Sony thing, now they can say their Game Pass subscription numbers are higher.

So it's just a change of name lol. You can still buy a years subscription to Gold (its still the same price) it's just that MS is calling it Gamepass "core" to add it to its GP numbers lol.

No more Games with Gold, but the offerings were pretty lame anyway.

@SolidGame_basic: I think we need to see the fine print as it says access to 25 games, and if Gold gave you 2 games a month for an entire year it's 24 games. So yeah the deets are crucial to see what's the deal with those 25 games.

As for the games on offer, I've maybe downloaded 5 in total, and never really paid any attention to the offerings each month, and only ever paid to play online with friends, join a party and talks some shit, and the odd MP game.

I have only owned/own the ps3, ps4 and the ps5, so who is measuring dicks with the amount of Sony systems they own? I don't exactly care about the amount of systems you owned. What i care about is that you're on the green side, and that's pathetic.

Fummy thing is that middle tier, a regular Gamepass DOESN'T have access to a online multiplayer ( outside F2P). LOL

You'll still either need Game Pass Core (formally known as Xbox Live Gold) or Game Pass Ultimate for online multiplayer..

It has to suck to be a lem right now, especially all they have done is praise MS for giving them choices between gold and GP. Now that MS has pretty much forced gold users to be in GP, what is their defensive strategy now? Time to bust out the 🍿

I thought gold was already replaced by Gamepass :S.

Anywho makes sense if gold still exists. Give all the gold subscribers a taste of gamepass, fingers crossed (from MSs point of view) many of them convert to full Gamepass then...more revenue for MS and it makes the Gamepass stats look better.

I wonder if they will scrap the Xbox brand and rename their consoles something like the GP Box and GP Box Mini in the future.
