No One Won E3 - We All Lost

Worst E3 ever, seriously. If I had to say who had the best conference - I would say Sony, and Nintendo with the worst, but no one has anything to be proud of.

This is by far the worst E3 ever. E3 is officially dead. Sure, we got some cool trailers to Killzone 2, GeoW2, Resistance 2, Fallout, RE5, and the like... but the conferences were terrible, and there were few megatons. Why did Sony hype God of War 3 and then show a teaser trailer? *sigh*

Will there be an E3 next year? I don't even care. A sad time for gamers everywhere.

I came satisfied from the Sony and Microsoft conf, maybe a bit dissapointed from Microsoft conf (where is alan wake and the games passed 2008).

I don't expect an E3 next year.

Why the heck would you say "God of War 3 will be at E3", and then show him on a cliff making an angry face. That's like saying "There's a mario game in the works!" duh! We all knew GoW would be in development.

Uh... MS had an amazing E3. New dashboard, several great games being shown off, and a couple more announcements. You honestly are probably just in a FF13 withdrawal and still haven't recovered.

but E3s mistique is lost forever IMO

Because sure Nintendo got a -5 this year

but Sony and Microsoft were 6 and 7 at best.

Only a 2 big surprises(FF 13 and MAG)

only a few major announcements(XBOX Live overahaul, and God of War 3 Teaser)

No major additions to there 08 lineups(everything we knew the 2 companies would release this year was shown but nothing added)

Halo Wars, Tekken 6, White Knight, Splintercell Conviction, Alan Wake can all fall under maybe next year or vaporware in certain cases.

Hell where was Waredevil?

Where was Heavy Rain?

Where was Champions online(DAMN IT)

Where was BUNGIE(according to Kotaku they were at every major showing. Microsoft, EA, and SOny)

Yet nothing.

I'm a sheep that owns a 360, loves it, and watched all the conferences. What did they show? avatars, dashboards, media solutions, I WANT NEW GAMES! Not stupid media solutions.

The gamers who own a 360 and where going to buy a PS3 for FF won. I'm sure there is still some undecided buyers out there who had the news of "FF going to 360" helped make up their mind, and multicores will save the cash and just buy one console. With GTA, RE, DMC, Halo, Gears and now FF.

But I agree with homersfan all the conferences were pretty lackluster with MS being the least and sonys being the most.

Honestly I would say the ps2 gamers who waited thus far to purchase a ps3 won. For 400$ they can enjoy an 80gb ps3 with bluray AND FF13, which has always been on the system they love-ps2. Just because it isnt exclusive doesnt meen ps3 gamers cant enjoy it, cows are getting way too mad and lemms way too cocky. Finally we can both enjoy FF! Thats awesome! But ps3 showed far more exclusives even though they lost a larger one, they shpwed initiative for the future, and psn video looks promising, nbot to mention giving psp gamers an incentive to choose ps3. Sony did a lot of great things today. I wish I had seen better from the big N though.

Yeah but undecided buyers already knew all that before E3. I fail to see how Sony's E3 conference Won. I'm sure FF on 360 will sway some decisions.

at least nintendo presented something all games can profit from and thats something i would like as gamer ! microsofts biggest suprise was ffXIII but it changed nothing for me. and from sony there was nothing interesting ( next time gameplay not render vids !) fishfake

ms had the megaton of the entire show, but other than that nothing in terms of major exclusives just some copy cat attempts

i liked infamous, r&c and resistance psp but that was the majority of the sony show for me

other than ff13 the biggest surprise for me was gta:ds, other than the lack of more surprises
