no online create mode in LBP at launch

I gotta call BS until its confirmed. Either way I won't be effected any. Me and my friends already agreed to do 60+ premade levels that all last 10 minutes or higher on the co-op before creating things. I still think its pure BS especially considering how its gone gold and everything is supposed to be ready come October 21st. If for some reason this is true, i'd be mad at MM and Sony for hyping the PLAY. CREATE. SHARE thing but not giving it to us on launch day.WhiteKnightXIII

At launch, you can create levels - you just won't be able to do so with friends, online at least, until a patch comes.

Well they are done with the game. I'd think that they're working on the patch now. So I'd expect the patch to be released within a week or two (at the most) of LBP being released.

OK so basically you can

Create Maps

Create Maps and share them online

Create Maps offline with your friends

You just can't create Maps maps online together at launch

WHY ARE PEOPLE COMPLAINING?

Most people are gonna make maps solo anyways, not to mention the fact if your serious about making maps to share your gonna wanna BEAT the game first so you can get all the tools to make in depth maps.

1. play through it , have platforming/puzzle/mini-game fun (unlock more tools and items for creating)
2. play it with friends or family sitting beside you at home
3. play it online with people / online leaderboards
4. create levels by yourself
5. create levels with people sitting beside you from home
6. create levels with people online :|
7. upload your created levels / award people your creations that they can use
8. download user created levels / give feeback / earn items you can use in your levels

I would say this is about 1/8 of the game ...... and something that will come post release.

Look on the bright side ...... this will give people some time to figure out how to make a few things first and get some ideas ...... then people will be able to jam together and make cool things faster after the patch.

If it makes that big of a difference , just buy the game later.

Before the first patch comes out,you guys can enjoy it with your friends or enjoy playing the single player mode.

If my experience if Halo 3 forge is anything to go by, it could also create massive amounts of frustration:lol:

The way i see it is, the real creation will either be done solo or offline with friends, as being a knob is a natural byproduct of online anonymity, but online creation will be a blast if you go into it with a messing about mentality. Although its not ideal, not having online creation at launch doesnt take that much away from the game as online creation will be a big portion of the longevity of the game and not something that most people will want to do from day 1 (unlocking, trophies, sharing will be what i'll be doing first).

good job skewing what i said, so tell me what other game(s) has potentially limitless replayability that doesnt involve playing the same lvls over again after you beat the game, hell you cant even "beat" LBP, but nice job with the weaksauce
