Guys, this is the mode that you can create a map while other people online are in the game, like co-op.

You can still create maps and share them and download them to/from other people. It's not that big a deal.

ah yea, the whole level editor thing, well what other game has as a deep level editor as this one, nor can you change the gameplay elements as significantly as in this game, its still a platformer so you cant change that, but every other element to the game can be changed

Excitebike, but that's besides the point. "endless replayability" doesn't automatically mean "Wanting to replay". Releasing a game that lacks a major aspect to it is funny no matter how you try and spin it.

im spinning it huh? funny cuz the major aspect is still there its only limited to offline create at launch, everything that you can do is all there still, but im the one spinning it, and the entire point of the game is having people WANT (see i can do that too) to replay it which is something i dont think you get

if the patch comes out like a week later, then i wont mind. Or even a month later, but if its longer than that then ":?"II_Seraphim_II

The game has already gone gold. If they finish the patch a week after it's release they only have to post it on the servers. If they wait to release it so that it's there out of the box, it wouldn't go gold until a week after the original release dat at which time they would still need to print and distribute all of the discs.

Such a letdown, one of the key selling points for this game was the online play, and everyone knows what comes in the box is what gets reviewed, so this will undoubtedly affect reviews. Sony, I know you could have prevented this.lantus

um you can still play online co-op out of the box, you just can't create a level with other people online (you can still create lvls with friends in local play though)

if the patch comes in a week, fine.

This was one of the games key features a few months ago - what happened? That's really disappointing, but at least the feature is coming sometime. :(

I think they did this on purpose.

They probably thought that if Online was released with the game, they'd have heaps of garbage pouring in, just to be one of the first levels created.

However, give them a few weeks to practice, and create good levels, and then there would be less garbage for people to play out there.

I'm looking forward to this game as much as other people.

I wasn't trying to damage control/ keep the hype up, just maybe explain why it came to this.

Thats not the online sharing of levels, thats like online co-op level creator.
