No Point in the 360

This also applies to the original xbox, but it is dead now. Anyway, over the lifespan of microsoft's adventure in the video game world I have noticed a kind of redundancy. Every GOOD game on the microsoft systems comes to the PC, or is a multi platform game. The latter being ignored for this, I see no point in the 360 whatsoever. I can list all the games that come out on the 360 and later down the road I walk into Circuit City and find the same exact game for the PC. Unfortunately Halo 2 was released way too late to actually be good on the PC, due to dated graphics, but my claim still stands that the 360 is a waste of money. I'm sure all you M$ fanboys are going to flame me, but the cold hard truth has to come out and it will hurt. Not to mention that Halo, or Gaylo as some refer to it, is a ripe off of everything that is good in the sci fi universe. More flaming from last statement expected. I will give Halo some credit in that it does excellent multiplayer, but that is all. I will leave you with my thoughts on what Bungie should do next, make a strictly multiplayer online shooter, or one that focuses more on multiplayer, like Battlefield 2142. I would think that Halo 3 will, but i don't see any reason why they would because the last two sucked on the PC. And i would think Bioware would have said something by now. So far the PC/360 games they have made were both released at the same time, but they continue to say that Mass Effect is a 360 exclusive and that they have no plans for a PC version.

Either way, thats only a few games. I guess theres no point in buying a ps3, cause it has lost more than a few to the 360.

Or play 360 and play on max. can yuo show me a gaming computer that costs the same as 360, and provides the same amount of power. I think that for high end graphics, PC kicks ass, but console = value.

Your whole argument is that 4 games can be played on medium settings on PC, so therefore the entrie library of other games on 360 is null and void, Xbox live doesn't exist, and my 400 dollar console, with over 1000 dollars in accesories, is now obsolete. good luck with that. Can I gather my freinds around my PC and play graw ? Can I Rock out at a party with guitar hero? No. Also, even though building a rig can be pretty cheap, it still cost around 600 dollars for a decent tower with no peripherals, and you have to build it your self.mathew952

um, you just listed more quality exclusives than the ones that i know of for the ps3. And how is the 360 like a xbox 1.5? Last i checked, the 360 is winning and continues to get better.

This is a different gen, if MS thinks that porting a game to the PC would hurts sales I would think they are smart enough to not do it. If it won't hurt sales it won't matter. MS wasn't born yesterday.

Halo3 and Masseffect will come to PC because microsoft enjoys money. the difference between 360 and PS3 in this situation is that the PS3's major titles are only on PS3. Killzone2, Heavenly sword, ratchet, uncharted, MetalGearSolid4, that one sucker punch game that looks like crackdown, resistance. All of those are only on PS3, and those are the PS3's major games. jack_russel

Eventually, it will go to the PC. This is Microsoft we talking about. Most of their popular games, including Halo 1 & 2, GeOW, Bioshock are on or coming to the PC. Saying Halo 3 is not coming to the PC is in Denial. I'm sorry.

Also, look how long games like Halo 2, Gears and some other games have to wait...over a year ...come on I am not that patient.. And they don't get every game...you can't say they get them all thus making your argument oversimplified and useless. And alot of people don't have PC.

What you should be thinking is that there is absolutely no reason to own a gaming pc anymore. When you can have a 360 that has all the best games from PC, and most of them before they get it lol. And all the great games of consoles there is no need to own any other system other than 360. I don't need a pc and i don't need a ps3. you say all good console games are multiplays yet when comparing the 360 to pc it has many more worthwhile games and lets not even talk about comparing it to ps3.

The only way i could see justifying a gaming PC is if you aboslutely love playing strategy games, and if you don't play multiplayer with real life friends because lets face it PC is horrible for playing mulitplayer locally. Hermits will tell you that they have soo many better games that it just abliterates the 360. So what are these games because i for one can't find them. Try this how about naming all these awesome exclusive games you talk about without mentioning a strategy games, oh wait you can't nevermind.

Not all of the games we want are coming to PC (Ninja Gaiden, for example). I play online with friends, not "some strange guy in basement" (which is at least equally true of PC gamers).
