No PS3 game with 2-4 split-screen online. Why?

Other resistance 2...Why is it that there are not much games on PS3 where you can 2-4 can play online?

I mean in the 360, there are like a crapload of games which can do that (Halo, Left 4 Dead etc.)...Why can't the PS3?

Rock band and LBP spring to mind.

And Local multiplayer is far from dead unless you dont have friends over for a few beers and own rockband on CoD4 on a console.

because the cell is so powerful that a new standard of fun would be set if you could do local online and it would ruin all other forms of fun for people and they would be miserable the rest of their lives.

for real though my guess is that since MS was doing this back in the original xbox days they just have more experence in getting it to work correctly.

plenty of games did this forever ago. rallisport challenge, rainbow six, starwars battlefront and ghost recon were just a few my friends could come over hang out and play online with me.

Well there are 5 R2, Haze, Warhawk. MNR and LBP. Also, 2 more are coming out in the near future TM and LBP2. Not great but at least there is something. I agree the 360 has more so I hope sony realizes they need to add to more exclusive games like KZ, and UC.

However, Awesome Graphics is temporary, Split-Screen is permanent.

Speaking of which, there are limited numbers of games doing split-screen, and EVEN LESS numbers of shooters allowing split-screen online. Shame really.

I still play warhawk split-screen from time to time. Its great fun, IF you can find a game... Which is not easy sometimes.

the ps3 has games that have good graphics because they dont have features like splitsscreen or co op. these games can only be played in single player mode

not many ps3 exclusives have split screen online. i wish they did because many of my friends like to play with my ps3 and it would be more fun if we could play with a friend right next to us.

There definitely needs to be more.

Warhawk still has the best implementation I can remember for a console shooter. My brother just threw me a controller, I pressed a button and then I was playing online with him halfway through his game.

Warhawk and LBP are the only ones I can think of
