No Smash Bros for Europe until fall,,,,Because of Monies -Confirmed

wow..why are gaming companies inoring eu so much..yesterday GT5 got delayed till 2009..and with all the rating and stuff...

Nintendo of American president Reggie Fils-Aime ahs said that Europe will not be getting Super Smash Bros. Brawl until fall. Reggie said the problems lies with disc duplication and it wouldn't be cost effective to increase production.

"Reggie cited the reason as a production problem, claiming that Nintendo would have to open and convert new factories in order to step up disc duplication, which would no doubt prove costly and wasteful in the long run."

Mario Kart a few days before? and the game hardly looks like theres any effort it in over previous games. and Wii Fit? are you kidding me? why would I want that? :S

wtf? The Wii is doing amazing here and the Nintendo DS sold most in the Pal region. I'm really starting to hate how Nintendo treats us here.

Datel, makers of 'freeloader', are working on a wii version, which they say will be released "soon"

ofc, if nintendo don't like the idea, they can create a firmware update that stops it working, but at least there's some hope of playing import games

It's pretty obvious why Nintendo likes us.

You need to take a close look at the OP. They can only make so many discs at one time, and making more would not be cost effective.

what i hate the most is that they revealed so much info's on the dojo ,never gives the eu a release date and now saying we have too wait 1/2 year

and if it sells bad they think they where right but maybe it sells not good because not everyone want old games where every single piece already is discovered

i dont know but its a good first step I dont see many other companies doing anything.

The reason for this is quite simple Smash Bros is a system seller and nintendo have a limited supply of consoles, hence the staggered launch. This is a game that will make gamers go out and buy a wii, the people who will buy the majority of software for the console, instead of the casuals who will buy games at a much lower rate. Although the wii does turn a profit on hardware sales software sales are still where the majority of the money is.

It makes sense to stagger this games launch, so that the majority of wii's for the given period of each respective launch go to the region where the demand is gonna be highest. I wouldn't believe for a minute the rubbish about the cost of producing the disks being too prohibitive.

You guys should stop complaining really. You dont buy as much as so you wont reap the rewards. I admit it does suck but if you want to change it BUY MORE.

Besides that you guys are getting MK Wii one day later than the Japanese release which is April 10th. The American release is May 1.
