Because the PS3 version was built from the ground up to utilize PS3's more powerful hardware. That's why the textures on the PS3 looks so much crisper and realistic than the 360 version.

Kudos to the developers for not just doing a quick port like most other developers do and actually utilizing PS3's power.

actually ps3 is less powerful.

256+256 dedicated isnt as good as 512 mb unified+ 10 mb edram

expect ps3 version to be lower resolution textures.

The RSX is to crippled to pull off textures above what Xenos can do. 480MB > 256MB

Negligible difference really that can be easily be overcome by caching and texture streaming - standard HDD and huge disc space ftw. All it takes is effort to make PS3 games look better.

You know, all these posts about PS3 games looking better than the 360 counterparts always fail. The unfortunate truth for cows is that they are getting games months after 360 owners and they are not as good.I would expect these games to look better on the PS3 given more development time, but they are not. Furthermore, games that are coming out at the same time for both systems are also getting higher scores on the 360. What do the Cows have to say about that. For example, Armored Core, The Darkness, Madden 08all came out on both systems at the same time did they not?
