A common argument that people throw around here is, "you're just jealous"
I'd like to respond to that statement with my own opinion.
I'm a Wii owner. I don't own a 360 or a PS3 and I don't really want either. I'm not jealous because I can't afford either, the reason is I don't like 360 or PS3 games!Â
The PS3 is undeniably overpriced and there really isn't anything that appeals to me. I don't like MGS, I don't like FF, I don't like GT. Those 3 games are the only reason to buy the console because they are guaranteed to be good. There are some cool IPs on the system but they simply don't make up for the cost.
The 360 is alright but the only game I want is Halo 3. Other than that, Microsoft's lack of any good IPs really makes me question buying it, I buy systems for their good exclusive IPs mostly. The third party is also strong and there's a lot of support for the system, so I might buy it one day but not yet.
Now I'm gunna criticize the Wii too. There's nothing to be jealous about a past-gen technological system that suits casuals and nintendo faithful only. It's selling well and is getting a good early base but the fact is a lot of the games are weaker and lack the depth and beauty of 360/PS3 games.
I like the Wii cuz I like Nintendo. I used to like Sony, but the PS3 is disappointing me, so I think I'll pass. As for Microsoft, the Xbox had 1 good game, Halo, other than that nothing stood out that would make me buy it (although I originally bought it for Jet Set Radio Future.)Â
So don't go saying people are jealous, because you really are making a fool of yourself.
