Wii has most sales but there is a lack of games for older people, like come on no GTA, crappy versions of COD and ECt In terms of exclusives 360 and Ps3 are neck in neck, however 360 has sold more consoles than the ps3 All the cows say ps3 sold more than 360 TWO MONTHS AGO. But hey guys people have bought 360's during the past two months, and many of them too because of halo 4. So I'd say that the standings Are 1-360 (imprOved a lot from XBOX and has a good number of sales and games 2-ps3 step down from ps2 but still a good console and a successful one 3-wii, don't need to explain I guess 2 and 3 are arguable. But Xbox 360 has won the generation war. PitbulllovaIn terms of console numbers, it's the Wii.
The winner is us, the gamers.clyde46if you were a pc gamer this gen, yes, you COULD say that (still many reasons against this, however). otherwise, lolno.jpg
[QUOTE="JohnnyCageMK"]I agree with TC.PlazmaCloneI'm sorry but the thread is about non biased opinions...
And I'm giving my unbiased opinion.

So you agree Sony wins?that's nicePast gens were based on sales and so is this one, Wii won, :)LittleMac19the PS2 was supererior in EVERY way to the xbox and gamecube. expect graphocs and online of course. so i disagree
According to empirical research and statistical data I gathered the PS3 won with a 99.9999% of certainty.kuraimen99.999% biased maybe ;)
After owning all 3, it's a TIE between 360 and PS3. PS3 wins the exclusives battle, but 360 makes up ground with it's Live and controller.
The Wii as a package was not even near the quality standard of PS3 and 360.
It is impossible to not be biased since the question is an opinion.
If you want to go by complete, UNBIASED, and actual reasons for who won the generation, that would go to the Wii for sales numbers.
The reasoning: When you look back at older generations, the only stat anyone cares about is sales.

One could argue that the sales statistic determining who "wins" could be a bias. Others could say the winner would be the number of AAA games, etc.

Maybe, but the only race I can think of where no one can determine a clear winner is SNES vs. Genesis.

Wait, what? Aren't those two games primarily targetted towards young/teenage boys?
Hmm, well I would argue that Nintendo won this gen, in the end it does not matter if the library appealed to YOU dear reader, but it sure appealed to ALOT of people, and no one can claim one group of gamers more real or legit then others. They sold the most consoles, and while games were not as fast selling, they still sold "enough" of them not to make the wii a waste.
The second place is more arguable. Personally I would say the 360 came in second place, mostly due to the value of the brand. The 360 is in way higher reguard then the old Xbox, so in one gen MS gained a following insanely huge. It was a powerful Console (even despite the RROD it rivals the PS3). And it attracted alot of people who had alot of brand loyalty towards other systems (even Publishers and devs embraced it with little second thought).
The PS3 sold atleast as much as the 360, it had a year less to sell the amount it did, so year over year sales have been a tad higher. But the reason I place the PS3 below the 360 is that the PS brand has lost ALOT of weight this gen, so the value of the brand is worth WAY less then 10 years ago. It still did fairly well all things considered (high price, few games at launch) So Sony did not do outright horrible by any means. In the end it caught up to the 360, but when one considers all the numbers, and how sony did till the PS3 launched. But it is not a horried mess, atleast the PS3 were not, SOny might be in trouble due to other reasons.
