Non PS4 gamers. What will you do when Death Stranding comes out?

Death Standing looks epic and it's currently my second most anticipated game (only topped by Cyberpunk 2077). It was the main reason along with The Last of Us 2 behind me getting PS4 last week. To be honest I would've loved it to be on PC as you know I'm primarily PC gamer and prefer Mouse Keyboard setup but I'm glad I won't be missing out on this game. What are your plans when it comes out, if you don't own a PS4?

PS: Originally the game was planned for PC as well before Sony decided to fund it and use their in house game engine. Now it seems unlikely.

Lucky I own a PS4 and can play it.....if its good. However, I didn't know people planned what they would be doing around a game for a platform they didn't own.

I would imagine that they’ll be playing something else.

Rather I own a PS4 or not, (and PS4 happens to be my main current-gen console) Death Stranding, the game itself isn't on my radar. I still don't know what exactly you do in that game just yet, despite we saw the gameplay this passed June of E3, there's nothing to get all excited about until we really see more in depth gameplay at hand.

As for the PC version, Kojima wanted to port it on PC but Sony decided to make it PS4 exclusive permanently. I wasn't planing on buying Death Stranding day one, but probably in the not too distance future I will but for now, I got too many games to play and who really knows when it'll come out. Cyberpunk 2077 really impress me more so because we saw more gameplay then Death Stranding. Kojima really needs to show more gameplay if he wants to impress me.

although it looks like by far best PS4 exclusive. its because other games looks so bad like last of us 2.

This game is one strange piece of work...lol. I was interested at first but the more I see of it the more I'm not interested in the game. Maybe when it drops and I'll watch some reviews and gauge my interest then.

I own a PS4 and I'll likely avoid this game. It just looks like complete nonsense.

Buy it on the PS5 if that warrants a purchase. Play it on PSNow if it is good.... Play games on other platforms.

I'm a primary PS4 gamer and I'll be doing what many others will be... playing something else and more than likely better.

But this one has a KID/Baby in it....oh wait. They all do. Sony gamers really want to be parents, huh?

Holding out on this, I love sci-fi but I passed on Detroit because 60$ is asking a lot for a game I'd only play once. Once we actually get more info on the game's features then I'll decide if it's worth getting.

I don't really care either way, I've said it on multiple occasions that this game just looks stupid as all hell. Wouldn't be interested in the game even if it was coming to a Skyrim level of platforms.

The game probably won't come out for quite some time according to recent rumors. It'll be awhile before long gameplay footage and story details. However there is a good chance of CP2077 coming out next year. And of course it'll be day one on PC :-)

Late 2019 or early 2020 as a goodbye to the ps4 similar to The Last of Us.

I played MGS5 on PC. its most repetitive and one of the most boring game this generation. sure its only kojima game that rely on gameplay. but every mission object doing same thing over and over again in same location.

plus the prologue was so bad.

Didn't ask you that, but I agree. You said Kojima was 80 percent movie, but MGS4 was trash because it was 97% gameplay. And boring and repetitive.

If anything, I think he might be moving more towards gameplay which is a shame.

Metal Gear Solid 4 got a 10 but somehow The Orange Box did not. What a disgusting and unfair world we live in my friend.

I own a PS4 and I will probably pass for now, until I at least see something worth playing and not just some "oh look, Norman Reedus" bait. And there are other great looking PS4 games I still need to play, and more coming. But, maybe as the game nears completion and there's more to show, that may change, but I am not holding my breath.

Looking at that poster in the OP makes me think that they made a real poor choice with Reedus as the front man. It was probably a good idea back when they announced the game 4 e3s ago... but now walking dead is so bad, Daryl is a shell of himself and all pose and posture, and somehow I think the stink of the show is rubbing off on this game (as unfair as that sounds).

Probably have a laugh? Dunno.... I'd tell you if it wasn't my type of game, but very few people actually have a clue about what the heck is going on in Kojimas game... It just looks bizarre....which makes it equally bizarre that you would buy a console based on a yet to be released game that we know little about, and this one which we know absolutely nothing about besides babies being carried, invisible monsters and lots and lots of walking...

If the GAMEPLAY looks good, I will buy it.

I own a PS4 Pro and have absolutely no interest in this game.

I'm sure I'll rent it, but I'm only starting MGS2 today cause it finally came to 8th gen in Xbox One BC...and just didn't want to play my PS2 copy and didn't want to play HD Collection on old system. So hopefully I'll be done with MGSV and desire more Kojima craziness.

For now, I'm sort of avoiding all the cryptically tin foil hat conspiracies and stuff, just not into them.....at least until people have real results.

The gameplay video they put out wasn't all that intriguing. I think I'll be okay skipping it unless they decide to make it a little less of a walking simulator with some Alan Wake-like features.

The whole God addition to any name is turdbath nerd shit. More importantly, I liked the MGS games but I wasn't in love with all of Kojima's products. It reminds me of Francis Ford Coppola's films work. Godfather 1&2 and Apocalypse Now are among the greatest made. 3? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Bram Stokers Dracula? Anyone ever read that book? I ask because his movie is not Bram Stoker's Dracula and it sucked. Im not into what Ive seen of Death Stranding thus far and its been three chances at conferences now.

Probably nothing. I’ll play something else for a few months and then buy it second hand, then proceed to plug my ps4 in for the first time in 2 years and let it update overnight.
