Not even 4 months after I bought my 360, I get three red lights!!

If i was going to buy a new console....I would want to know how reliable it was.....so yes, it is necessary to see how many peoples 360's have broken.

they had hardware problems...get over it. It's been known for a lllllllllloooooonnnngggg time. Personally, I owned 3 ps2's...so to me it doesn't make sense to critisize one company for having troubles with it's second console while it's competitor also had troubles with it's second console.

You got luck. When mine exploded it killed my cat, dog, wife and the $1 million i was keeping in a safe right next to the PS3. The PS3 ruined my life :cry:

im on my 3rd 360 and figured out all the frezzing/red lights were from dowloading demos off of XBL, i dont know why it messed it up :S

For some reason mine never breaks, ive been hoping it would so i can get retro-fitted a new mobo. My 360 sits in a well ventilated glass 56' DLP TV centerwith central air and no dust buildup. Maybe I should shove it in a box, wrapped in a towel and play outside in blazing heat.

My launch PS2 still works and so does my 360. It can't be all of them.

im kewl with my ps3, i have little controller malfunctions, nothing i cant fix,

my 2nd works good it gets disc read error on old 360 games, my real complaint of it is it chosse up my games....................real bad I went thought 3 copies if GRAW, 2 copies of GeOW and i think it damaged my nitey night nights

So, I choose not to include it as a 1st Xbox, considering I returned it on the same day.

Just call Microsoft and get if fixed. I think they're adding an additional heatsink to all returned 360s. Hopefully this will result in a permanent fix for you.

You can't blame them they want to play the games. It just sucks that the hardware is crap. My son wants one but I am trying to get him to want a PS3 just because I don't want to have to deal with the hardware problems.

Maybe it has something to do with Xbakes 360 being designed like an Easybake oven.

I've had my 360 for 8 months. It hasn't broke, froze, anything.

I had my PS2 for a month and got DRE.
