Not gonna lie, the Xbox One is looking mighty good right now

Let's face it, Shadow Fall and Knack are pretty much the epitome of launch games - more flash, less substance. Infamous Second Son and Drive Club will probably be good games, but the Xbox One has a pretty impressive lineup that features true sequels and new franchises. Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct (it's a revival but still), Crimson Dragon (I liked panzer dragoon), and Titanfall (yes it's not technically exclusive, but it's a next gen console exclusive over PS4). And I know people have a thing against Kinect and the $100 pricetag, but I saw people playing Kinect games at the mall and I was impressed. It was like a much better and more evolved Wii. So why are people investing in a PS4? Are they betting on the future? From my point of view, I'll take whatever is better first and it looks like Xbox One may be that.

EDIT: I forgot about Ryse, but maybe that's a good thing...

Xbox One does have the upper hand in terms of launch exclusives. However, it has crippling flaws that may niggle it throughout the next console generation.

LOL if you like crappy more expensive hardware that's targeted at casuals, then yeah the Xbone looks good.

And about the games...Playstation has much better first party devs than MS. We all know PS4 will end with the best library.

While the X1 launch line up looks better, it's important to remember that a console generation is a marathon and not a sprint.

Agreed. Even if I had the ps4, the X1 would get so much more use in my house. I think the Xbox fitness is a huge boon too and plan to incorporate that into my daily routine. Kinect looks to be legit

No, it's not looking mighty good at all, but its launch line up does look better than the PS4's.

Come on now, anyone who buys a console at launch for some rushed launch games are idiots. And the reviews of the Xbone launch games aren't even out yet so nobody knows if they will be as good as lemmings hyped them. Most of them also look mediocre, you got Ryse (lol), Killer Instinct and Forza that are both DLC-fests and Dead Rising that looks to run like crap...

The truth is both launch line-ups look like sh*t.

In the end you buy a console for the long-term.

This. Remember how much worse the PS3 lineup was compared to the 360's for a few years? Look at who had the last laugh.

Sony supports its consoles. The other two do not. Flat out, if you want a console, a PlayStation is probably the safest bet.

I would order a ps4 console (for it's 3rd party compatibility) with the xb1 controller that has a speaker & touch pad on it, xbox live and every game was multi platform...then hesitate to press post reply? :)

11. Defective disc drive. Sometimes can't play disc based games or movies.

13. Battery in controller dies in less than 6 hours of gameplay.

Other problems and complains:

- Bluray loads painfully slow. - Blu-ray will not output digital sound, neither will games. But the dashboard will? - Blu-ray looks DVD quality and a little bit muddy. - Blue blinding light on controller, with no option to turn it off. - Constant game freezing - Poor interface for inviting friends to online games - Just plain poor interface - 3.5 hour initial set up.

If I was to buy an XBO... The only game I would buy on it would be Dead Rising 3. All the rest of the games I could care less about. Only because of Co-op.

I don't see all these good games like everyone else.

I have the PS4 & it's GPU is 150% more powerful and has better RAM. This means the X1 is marginally better than the 360 with a new interface and a very similar controller. Xfans will be surprised at how marginal the improvement in graphics are.

I still haven't passed judgment on either console. I myself am picking one or the other up this December or early next year so I'm hoping I'll have a better idea of which one I prefer long term by then.

where did you hear MS has an announcement this week? Ive been on forums everywhere and haven't heard anything so this got me pretty excited

PS4 will be my main system for multiplats and Sony exclusives. I have a Wii U for Nintendo and third party exclusives. I'm not going to get a Xbox One for multiplats, so in order to gain my interest it will have to get enough exclusives.

At this point it just doesn't have the ones I want, outside of Crimson Dragon. That's one, but I need a few more before I'd consider buying one.

Can't disagree with someone's opinion. Launch for both systems as far as exclusives go is pretty even for me. All I am playing is KZ for PS4 and DR3 and KI for the One. No great exclusive games out the door for either. In my opinion anyway. Still love to be there day one with new consoles.

Only a full on downs baby would think the Xbone is going to have better games, even if it does have better launch games which is debateable Sony has a way better track record and way more quality studios making exclusives. Plus they actually take risks with new IP's and artsy games along side the typical blockbuster.

How blind do you have to be to not see that.

GPU 150% more powerful? Wow, even the most hardcore Sony fans say it's 50% stronger. So you're saying the gpu on the PS4 is 2.5 times more powerful than the XB1? What a fail post.

PS4 wins simply on the fact that it is the more powerful of the two. I have plenty to play with KZSF, Resogun and all of the multiplats. Infamous Second Son, The Order 1886 and Drive Club are all coming early 2014. The DS4 is a superb controller. PSN has been running perfectly and being a PSPlus member gas many, many more benefits than XBL offers.

Outside of Crimson Dragon and Ryse, I see nothing I'd buy for the Xbox One.

The gap between Wii:U and PS4/X1 is a much bigger gap than between PS4 and X1.
X1 and PS4 will deliver on exclusives and multiplatforms as well as other media features.
Either is good to get, or better, both. Just not the Wii U.
