1. ( I LOVE THIS COMPANY, so no hate) But I'd say Valve. Portal 2 mod is pretty good though.

2. Activision - Call of Duty. For SOO many games, you'd think they would break the graphics engine like Dice is doing

well i guess froma technical standpoint, halo. But you can't really tell since the art style and sound track are put together so well to achieve their create vision =D

Bungie has pretty mediocre graphics in their games. I suppose you could say the same of Bethesda, but to expect killzone type graphics in an open world game is pretty ridiculous.

Halo 1 has awsome graphics for its time, Halo Reach has awsome graohics, and Oblivion was the best looking game out when it released.

Fable 3, I'm playing it right now and am enjoying it but some of the graphics are just ugly.

Bethesda. It's like they intentionally try to make the fugliest characters models possible.

For this gen, halo 3 had pretty bad graphics, reach has average graphics, and oblivion is just horrible and they haven't really improved too much throughout the generation especially with animation. Skyrim looks to be changing that based on the pictures, but as of the time of the thread it stands.

Activision for sure in the COD franchise. Both the Wii and HD versions don't look that good.

You could, but it would make no sense seeing as every game I mentioned is a current gen game being compared to other current gen games :P

MW2 doesn't look that bad from what I played from it, but it's not great looking.

plus i dont see how you can make a thread that says quote other then nintendo when honestly nintnedos games can only be compared on their system not on the 360 or ps3 cause you cant playthem

ridge racer 6 i honestly dont see how we still end up with 2d trees and such in the background this gen or even on the side of the road ,

the tress and such dont even look real ,

on ps3 i can name this one as the worst-strangle hold seriously how can this pass ,

and on wii ,

alien syndromn has to be the worst looking game ever releasedon it

I love Halo and Amnesia (which by now with all the love its geting I consider big), but both have pretty bland graphics. Even on high Amnesia looks dated, though at least that game is a downloadable indie title.

Resistance 2 was also alright in graphics, but didn't live up to the graphical hype the first got and focused more on other features with a slightly more cartoony style.

Every blizzard game.

All their engines are designed for low end comps, and scale poorly, with little added visual flair.

Artstyle is what carries their games.

Big name? Well you didn't say they had to be good :P

Every console game. That way I don't need to type them out.

Super Meat Boy. I'd say WoW, but I think it looks great personally.

Both inFamous and Prototype were pretty ugly.

Double Fine, Activision, EA, Sony, well basically everyone who makes small games or handheld titles. So, almost everyone.

I don't know about that, Portal 2 looked very impressive.

Blizzard games. Starcraft, Diablo, and Warcraft are no techincal marvels in the graphical department. They design their games so that you can play them in ten years and they will look fine though.

Isn't it better to compare devs that actually don't develop games on weaker systems like the handhelds and the Wii and instead compare their work on the HD systems and PC.
