Not really excited about the "next gen" consoles.

I was at first, but reality just sank in and I just realized that I'm really not that interested in any of the games for either systems. Literally nobody I know is even remotely interested in either let a lone preordered one. I feel like the jump isn't big enough and the games aren't exciting at all...not even the ones that aren't releasing this year. I'm contemplating on canceling my preorder, if I don't, I'm probably going to sell it. Anyone else starting to feel the same?

Man, i'm sure there were some people that felt the same way wen the PS3/360 launched. Launch titles usually aren't indicative of what the hardware is capable of, developers need to get accustomed to it.

I'm not excited simply because over time consoles have offered less, and less, and I'm not going to be suckered into buying a new console only to find out that in 8 years time it can't even amass a library as good as last-gen consoles (which were pathetic in comparison to the libraries of the consoles before them).

I'll just stick to PC gaming as it's actually getting tons of games. Unique, and interesting ones at that.

Seems most the people I know are that way too. I think just about everyone I know IRL owns a Wii, or a 360, or a PS3, but now the vast majority play on PC, and nobody cares to preorder any console. One of my friends has a Wii U though..... He has barely touched the thing.

I'm not in a hurry either. I'll likely get the WiiU next year and the PS4 in 2 years.

I am pretty excited... I am looking forward to what the xbox one can offer in the future! I love battlefield and am not a pc gamer so I dont have a rig good enough to play it on. So I am very much looking forward to the 64 player online running at 60 fps! I dont care how much more graphics improve because they already look good to me but the better they get is all good! So its more of the fact that they will be able to do more in games than on current consoles that I am most excited for.

You don't know what you're talking about. Nobody cares to pre-order any console? The pre-orders for the PS4 are higher than they have ever been.

I am excited for some new tech toys, but I have a feeling after the initial joy, there is going to be quite a letdown.

Not much in the way of games excites me for either console, but hopefully within six months things start to pick up.

The PS4 is truly looking like something special! Its the gamers console made by gamers for gamers! 100$ cheaper 50% more powerful. Sony hitting on all the right notes! Its a juggernaut!

Killzone ShadowFall LOOKS miles better then anything on the xbone.

Im happy about the PS4s launch and there is NOTHING on the xbone that makes me think twice. PS4 launch all the way.

But remember that Sony still has more games to announce, so even if you dont like the launch line up, just know that games from the likes of the Naughty Gods (best developer in gaming) and Santa Monica and Media Molucule etc are coming!

Hell, next year Infamous and The Order are comimg to the PS4...and those games look MIND BLOWING....easily the two best next gen games we know of yet....SO you wont have to wait long....might as well get PS4 now....

When Infamous drops PS4 exclusives wont look back and will dominate until the end of the gen, just like how PS3 started kicking ass exclusive wise in 2008/2009 and never looked back since, but this time the PS4 is starting the ass kicking much earlier!

When you buy a PS4 you know Sony will support it until the end, given history, as opposed to how Microsoft always drops support for their consoles half way into the gen in shady fashion.

You want proof. Look at PS3 exclusives released this year compared to the non existent 360 exclusives of this year lol

When a new gen comes, you have to think price power features and more importantly think long term. PS4 has the price power and features adavantages by far, and when you buy a PS4, its the best long term purchase you can make in gaming, given Sony's history of long term support and the pedigree of Playstation exclusive developers.

STOP with this infatutaion with launch line ups and the short term. Thats what Microsoft wants from you, but dont let Microsoft fool you for a third time

The BEST console version of BF4 will be the PS4 version....so derp derp derp....IF you want the BEST console version of BF4 you will have to get a PS4...or your only other alternative is to build a 2000$ PC to be able to play BF4 on respectable settings lol.

Not only will the PS4 get the superior multi plats but Playstation exclusives have been and always will be the best. Playstation exclusive developers run shop and are far better, far more proven, far more prestigious then xbone developers

There is no point in even getting an xbone, especially considering PS4 is 50% more powerful, so it will be the more future proof console, and that - for the more future proof PS4 console with much better exclusive developers and more support it will be significantly cheaper...No brainer. Xbone can go die off into obscurity!

For BF4 beta with 1080p and max details, you don't need to build a $2000 PC.

That is actually not true but i can understand sticking with PC gaming, to be frank if i spent that much on a PC, i would not bother with a console either but saying they have offered less and less is just rubbish talk. If not for the console space, most of the PC ports you get over Steam would not even happen

When I read your OP it translates to:

"xbox 1 does not excite me because it is trounced in every area by PS4 and because I am an xbox fanboy I will simply say that both consoles are bad to save face."

If not being able to brag about your favorite console being the best has such an effect on you then should stop gaming and not blame the "console(s)" because you aren't much of a gamer.
