Wouldnt surprise me since they had a large increase in sales lately. But I thought VG chartz was BS anyway?

Official financial statements/quarterly reports from the respective companies themselves. To be honest, these were the most accurate numbers regardless because NPD figures were estimates themselves. Certainly better than the numbers VGchartz pulls out of thin air, but still estimates.

on topic: It wouldn't surprise me. Aside from the iPad and iPhone 4G, the Kinect/360 seemed like THE holiday gift this year.

vgchartz is in the habit of posting inflated XBox 360 numbers. its probably one of the reasons why so many people were owned earlier this year when the big 3 revealed their official sales numbers, and people saw the huge contrast (idk if vgchartz have adjusted the numbers since then or not). Lemmings were in denial for weeks.

hopefully it happens again.

By the end of January the Wii should be at 85 Million Worldwide, with the upcoming price cut to 149.99 at this years E3, that will pave the way for the Wii hitting the 100 Million mark or more by the end of next Christmas.

it wouldn't be that surprising if they did... the holiday quarter usually makes up about a little less than half of the entire years sales I think. lets just wait until official numbers come out though.

im sure almost both the 360 and ps3 are around 50 mil by now if not by next year for sure.

there will be a huge boost for both systems in sales with all the ps3 exclusives coming out and killzone 3 , resistance 3 and the kinect exclusives and gears 3 and halo 1 remake(rumored to be on november)

vg chartz = guess backed up by a formula where you divide a guess by another guess broken into a monthly guess that is then added to the other guesses for one super uber mega guess that is put on the site.

We'll just have to wait and see I guess.

What are the chances they sold 5.4+ MM units Oct - Dec 2010? Given Kinect, given NDP had them up 29% in N America in November? The odds must be close to 100%.
