Nothing hurts more to a gamer than...

...an amazing game you love to not be blessed with a sequel just because it wasn't incredibly popular.

IMO, AVP2 for the PC was an incredible game. It got a modest score of what I believe was around an 8.5 when it was reviewed by Gamespot. The game was released over 6 years ago and since then the only thing we've gotten was a terrible expansion pack. You'd think with all the success of the AVP movies they'd focus on making a sequel to the game. I shed a tear for this game because it really deserved so much more. :(

Just thought of two more from the 32X/Saturn era.

T-Mek and Hi-Octane. T-Mek is a mech/tank war game that was great fun, and Hi-Octane is similar to Wipeout with weapons.

sequels arent always good man, look what's been happening with Resident Evil... People who loved that game for the storyline pretty much got screwed. it was amazing 1-3, i liked CV myself but you can tell thats when it started to stray off.Sovereignty5

I'd rather get a sequel to AVP2 and worst case if it sucks I would still keep playing AVP2. But just the thought of playing AVP3 or whatever they'd call it with modern graphical upgrades makes my mouth drool. The game looks terrible to today's standards but it's still amazing.

yeah i can see what you mean, I personally loved a game for the PC called Tactical Ops Assault on Terror, it started as a mod for UT but then became a retail game , i personally found it a lot more fun and better than counter strike. Id love to see a up-to-date version of this game. I think it was rumored to happen but i havent found anything about it :(

That's an opinion, some think the opposite about the RE series, me included.

Beyond Good and Evil was a great adventure game, even though it was short. I liked that it mixed a little stealth gameplay in between puzzles and the more general action/adventure levels. It seems like a sequel would have a lot of potential on any of the current consoles, although I doubt it will happen because the original game's sales sucked.

That's an opinion, some think the opposite about the RE series, me included.

I kind of fall in between, I like the new RE series but it feels so much more different than tha first three RE's (storywise)which I think is one of the best trilogies in gaming. I say trilogy because 4 and 5 are very different from the first 3. I want to see some good ol' t virus zombies, dogs, mutants back.
