That due to the "recent turn of events", coupled w/ the release of LBP, the momentum of the 2008 year is with Sony. And yes, I am well aware that the year is not over. Feel free to discuss what MS and Nintendo can do to derail said momentum and damage control is most certainly encouraged!bez2083

The hype for lbp has already taken this year, its not really a big deal both systems have good games coming out the 360 just waiting for the end of the year for good game release's while the ps3 has released a few threw out the year

Funny, you should mention that, I'm looking at the review for "game which shall not be named" on IGN, and there are a lot of similarities. But at the end of the day, if you planned on buying it, you will enjoy it. But in SW terms, scoreboard for the cows.

Disgaea 3 has been keeping me occupied for a while now and I believe it scored somewhere in the upper 7 range here at GS, which is pretty solid. There's also Valkyria Chronicles and Resistance which are both shaping up to be very good games. And since you have some downloadable games in your list, there have been some very worthwhile ones on PS3 this year.

Ok ok , Im sorry but Geo wars, braid, castle crashers arn't real games they are things to pass the time such as Pixel junk monster, and all those other arcade/PSN download games Don't try to count them since most people don't download them no matter how good they are

Banjo isn't out yet, and frankly it doesn't look to great, Too human is out and is a horrible game, Gears nga and fable are solid tho I wouldn't pay for NG2 since its like the first one but worst....

Tho I wouldn't pay for Motostorm,and valkyria chronicles and while Knight aren't out so I can't really judge since they have no games to base them off of.

This list is also based off games what the masses plan to buy

Man, I can list some "lower level" PS3 games this year as well. Those MGS4 and LBP are the AAAAE and AAAE's of the year so far, that's it.

Face it, the only way 360 competes this year GAMEWISE would be if gears gets a 10 :P

no. what's actually funnier is that i listed more full-fledged games than you and you still think you're listing more games. Or should i also list PSN games? Then i could add GT5 Prologue, R&C Quest for Booty, Eden, Monsters, etc? Also, i'd like to insist, most of the games you listed are flops: NG2, Fable 2, Too Human and Braid, all flops. true. the PS2 also had a horrible launch, but one year later there were lots of solid new IPs, just like the PS3 with so many great new IPs. Then the sequels to the great well-known series comes 2 years after the console's release.

yep this i can agree with. score wise on gamespot the ps3 is winning this year. unless r2 flops and gears 2, banjo and l4d all get AAA then i will have to say the ps3 won 08 even though i don't like any of those games.
