Now that most multiplats are being confirmed as being better on the PS3.

For years weve heard how multiplats are sometimes better on 360, well now it seems its not even sometimes anymore. games such as mafia II, Dead space 2, and many others have not only exclusive levels and missions, but the ps3 versions include other things such as the wii game of dead space and other special exclusives that are actually worth it. even gabe newell managed to say the ps3 version of portal will be the best. and some multiplats in 3D only on the PS3.

My question is now that multiplats and already exclusives are better on the ps3, what reason would anyone have to own a 360 or get these games on 360.

Ps3 getting exclusive editions is good for Ps3 fans but getting extra content does not make a game runbetter on that system this question can only be answered when people have seen both versions running side by side.

So multiplats being confirmed as running better on PS3 is not 100% true them getting extra stuff is.

Medal of Honor, Mafia II, Dead space 2, and Portal 2 were big shockers. All that extra content for PS3 guys...but that means less money being spent in other areas...that's what gamers wanted though. I would prefer Xbox360 and PS3 get that money funnelled into 1st Party development, but the mass majority of gamers don't care about that, so Sony conformed as I feared they would to the popular Xbox tactic. That's what people wanted, not good in my book.

I don't know how anyone can claim and say PS3 version of Portal 2 will be the best on consoles, when as far as we know at the moment - it's only because of Steam cloud stuff (which seems rather minor advantage to say the least). Kudos to Sony though with the Dead Space/MOH deal, that's pretty neat.Ravensmash

1. Cows (use to) hate Valve, go look up all the anti valve threads. Now they're LOVING Valve.
2. The ONLY reason PS3 gets exclusive content w/game is because:

a. Sony paid for it

b. PS3 version is inferior to 360, so they give it extra content to compensate

Try using Steam. Or compare Team Fortress 2 on consoles to the PC version.

Yes, Sony paid for it, at the same conference Xbox paid for COD timed maps....it sucks that Sony is emulating M$ as this just means we gamers are going to get less games in the end. I would rather get more games, than hearing about 3rd Party Deals...but Sony got beaten down for so long, they retaliated. What did we expect, we gamers haven't tried to stop it with our dollars, so Sony took a page out of M$ book, and made a deal.

Also, Cows didn't like Valve or Gabe because of his harsh words about the PS3, which if you saw the conference, he basically asked for forgiveness.

ANYWAYS, my goal was to answer his post about how ANYONE COULD CLAIM, and I let him know Gabe Newell is the one that made that direct claim.

I myself have been enjoying Valve's games for over a decade, so I'm good. I have almost a 1000 in L4D2 on 360 for instance, but that's neither here nor there.
