Halo 3 is massive and it will be 360s best game this generation but after the hype has died down for it, really thats it, you will still get good games but nothing like halo it will slowly die down and probably only sell about as much as the original xbox did plus a couple extra mill or 2gerard-williams

Claims as "can only go down", "maximized its potential", "at its peak", I never liked.

Let's look at it logically (OHSNAP!) for a sec.

Say the 360's best looking game is Gears, and it can't better it. Now what? Since the 360 has reached its peak so early (and of course, the peak is a physical thing, eh?), it will eventually sink down to NES levels, the longer it stays up? Or will games still look good enough to beat the competition?

Same for sales, what if another games takes 2nd place in how much a game has sold? Is it bad since it was beaten by Halo, or good because it beat all others?

Same for everything else.

That said, you don't know the 360 is at its peak, so stop spouting crap.

Halo wasn't even the game I was most hyped about this quarter, let alone the year or the entire gen.

While I think Halo 3 is a great game, its far from the best the 360 has to offer. In my view its a bit above average, not worth a 9.0+ score.

The idea of a console losing its momentum when there is no logical evidence or feasible reason to suggest it, is pretty short-sighted, and ignorant.

That's like me saying in 2002 that the PS2's biggest hits already came out and there is no room to grow from there (its going to go downhill), because graphics could not possibly get any better on the platform, and developers have completely lost interest in a console that continues that outsell the competition by a staggering amount, because they felt that they had already made enough money and are done for 5 years. It just makes no sense.

And in the real world, the 360 and Wii keeps slaughtering the PS3 in sales. Hey, someone has to be last in a race, or it wouldn't be called a race!!!

um Link to the Past or Mario World are considered the best SNES games, and it didnt die down now did it.

Metal Gear Solid and Final Fantasy 7 were the best games on the PS1 in the eyes of many fans, but that didnt stop it from selling now did it.

GTA 3, FF X, and MGS 2 are considered some of the best PS2 games from last gen but nope didnt stop the PS2s game library from getting even bigger.

360 still all the major multiplats. plus Alan Wake, Fable 2, Splinter Cell Conviction, Ninja Gaiden 2, Mass Effect, Infinite Undiscovery, Lost Odyssey, Banjo 3, Too Human, Halo Wars, and thats all 08.

09 will probably have other big games like Gears 2, the Halo peter jackson project, that Cry on game from Mistwalker and more but we will know more about 09 around the end of 08.jg4xchamp

I very much disagree, everything on that list interests me more than any ps3 game, other than FF13/vs13.
