Now that the X360 is the best system, when will you buy one?

Okay, the guys at Microsoft made a system that surely have a lasting appeal like the original Xbox. Hands down the best system for this gen. The real question is when will you buy one? I know as of right now it's expensive for most people. After all not everyone has a job like mines. Anyways, What price range will have you jumping on the X360 bandwagon? The only thing 360 is hands down is the most poorly designed system and biggest money hole of this gen. And where do you get the "lasting appeal" of Xbox from? It was essintially dead after 3.5 years once it couldn't keep up with PC ports. Personally it was my favorite console for 2 years last gen but I was sick of the same generic crap over and over that was becoming more and more casualfied (Halo2) so I went back to PS.

360 does have a few worthwhile exclusives not on PC so I will buy one when they release the NEXT system redesign that includes the 65nm chips and better DVD drive.

    Best is subjective, and you do not judge for everyone what is the best system. Many reasons could be supplied why it is or is not the best system, and both are, at once, equally valid and completely worthless to people that are not you.

    Remember, preference is not dictated by anyone but yourself to yourself, and buy the system(s) that will make you happy, for pete's sake!

Getting a 360 soon once Halo 3 is out :D

Right now, I'm in no rush. Still playing my Xbox, GC and PS2.

It's not the price that bothers me, it's the lack of games that interest me. There are only two exclusive games that I really want on the console - Dead Rising and Mass Effect. I can live without Dead Rising, and Mass Effect will undoubtedly come to the PC eventually, so I don't see any reason to buy a 360 just yet.

So...I might buy one at the end of this gen. Maybe.

Yet they all act like they're in some kind of rush or something. Dying of an incurable disease? Or just that impatient? Because the last time I checked. Great games are still great games regardless of how close to the release date.

Talk to me when the system passes over 20 million, and the Wii too. I say that cause we still don't really have any conclusive evidence that 360's out there are just going to previous Xbox owners, and some of you may now say "I didn't own the original Xbox" great and all, but I need charts stating otherwise.

In other words, it's too soon to celebrate. I don't doubt the 360 can outsell the original Xbox or teh WIi beat the GC, but right now... it's too early to say who "won" and it's too early for anything.

MK3 was a step back in the series. That game was just too goofy for me to take seriously. MK2 will always be the best in the series to me.

MK3 was a step back in the series. That game was just too goofy for me to take seriously. MK2 will always be the best in the series to me.

 As long as they don't make another MK movie, I'll be happy.....Actually I thought MK4 was the worst, I played Liu Kang, used the bicycle kick over and over, made it to the final boss, then the game glitched out and quit...

unless Ninja Gaiden 2 turns out to be an X360 exclusive(which is highly doubtful) or Too Human turns out to be a good game.

if any of those does not happen, then I will NEVER buy an X360. those are the only X360 games that interest me, Ninja Gaiden 2, Too Human and Geometry Wars. nothing else, and I have done my research on all X360 games and nothing interest me other than the games mentioned above.

For me, I'll be getting the console not because it has outsold other consoles but because of the games. Right now, Halo 3 is the main reason for me to get an Xbox 360 but before that, Microsoft should release a stable one. Their claim of 3% failure isn't really true. Trust me. I know a lot of people from Xbox support and they themselves are sick of hearing 3RLD complaints.

And MGS4 has sold me the PS3.

As for Ninty, Mario will always be in my heart. And Zelda too.
