Now that we all know X1 is the best console ever created

I mean really, it is the most innovated console ever. Kinect is awesome. Always connected and having access to all entertainment is awesome. The most innovative console hardware and built for the future, gets more powerful over time. The best controller, rugged and feels like good quality materials. How will Sony be able to compete? I think Sony should buy Nintendo and that may give Sony a fighting chance.

So I ask.

Will Sony survive this generation?

Will have a perceived power advantage(at this time) save it from death?

Seriously anyone can slap a big gpu in a box and call it a day. But it takes a true innovated company like MS to give more. And with Kinect and the cloud we should truly get some innovated gameplay experiences. And as true gamers that should make you really exciting.

In regards to OP... i dont understand many of Microsofts moves. Why they would make the xbox have an input still puzzles me. Who in their right mind would turn on a power hungry device and use it to play another device.. it's insane really. Sony have invested much more to enhance the core experience of gaming. Unlike microsoft who spent more in making it into a 'jack of all trades console'. While nice it proves their priorities isnt to provide the best 'gaming' experience, its to provide the best 'multimedia' experience. For that reason, i believe Sony has the trump card.

In saying that, Sony ditching DLNA and USB HDD reading was one of the worst decisions they could have ever made.

The Wii U will end up the best console ever created wether you believe it or not.

No real innovations aside from the HDMI-in. That's new. I don't think it'll be anything substantial. As for other capabilities, they're more like evolution of current possibilities.
