Well, I have to eat some crow here. I wasn't expecting Switch to not only lose, but to lose by 30% compared to PS4. I guess the lack of games this year so far is taking its toll. However, it sounds like all three sold well, so my guess is that Switch just didn't get any boost from tax returns.

Game hardware (including SNES Classic) sales volume in the US was up 38% YoY in February 2018 (up 38% in Apr–Feb FY3/18) and software sales volume was up 5% (flat in Apr–Feb).
The relative sales volumes of game hardware (incl. SNES Classics) was:
PS4: 1.3
XBox One: 1.11
Switch: 1
Others: 0.49
3DS: 0.37
On the software side:
By SKU, the top-selling title was Monster Hunter: World for PS4, followed by Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo), and Super Mario Odyssey (Nintendo).I think digitals are not included in these numbers.
Note: RELATIVE MEANS A COMPARISON OF SALES! THOSE FIGURES ARE NOT MILLIONS! IT'S HOW MUCH EACH CONSOLE SOLD COMPARED TO SWITCH'S SALES FOR THE MONTH! THEY ARE NOT EXACT FIGURES! IF YOU SEE AN ARTICLE CALLING THESE MILLIONS, IT IS WRONG! YOU WILL NEVER SEE A CONSOLE SELL A MILLION IN NPD OUTSIDE OF A HOLIDAY MONTH, EVER!
With that said:
Yes, PS4 was the top..but that doesn't mean the others were doing poorly.. Switch hardware sales are also progressing in line with Nintendo's guidance and sales of Nintendo software, especially its own major titles, appear to be favorable.
March will be Switch's first month of the year with a new game. I imagine it should start to bounce back then. Either way though, PS4 is unstoppable. Will it ever slow down!?
EDIT: Estimated sales ( https://www.resetera.com/threads/february-2018-npd-u-s-hardware-predictions-closes-tuesday-march-13th.27342/page-7#post-5749547 ):
PS4: ~364K (-9% YoY)
XB1: ~310K (+44% YoY)
NSW: ~279K
OTH: ~137K
3DS: ~103K
So yeah, very good all around.
