So basically the ps3 had the maximum sales which is expected due to it's price BUT the difference between 360 and ps3 sales is double which simply means that the ps3 outsold it.That is major ownage.

Nope. NPD = United States numbers. This is for the month of January. PS3 sold another 120K units in Japan for January, so that puts the PS3 right around 500K in TWO regions. Mighty impressive. The PS3 could be doing 750K a units per month once it drops in Europe. That is over 2.5x the amount that the X360 did per month between February and October 2006 worldwide. The X360 did not break 300,000 units sold in a 8-9 month span.
So much for all the haters saying that the Wii is only selling out due to low supply chains. The Wii is selling out and is outselling the PS3. I don't want to hear any more of this self made crap about how the PS3 is better supplied because in exuse of there being tons on the shelf. The Wii has none on the shelf because they are sold out not because Nintendo isn't making enough. In other words the Wii is here to stay and this is a THREE CONSOLE race. Not two.

The figures are quite flattering for the PS3. If the Wii was supplied as well as the PS3, it would probably be approaching 600,000. Also the rumors regarding PS3 not selling appear to be BS.
The problem is why would NPD group delay numbers till tuesday, folks its 90% chance these are the actual numbers and Microsoft is in trouble.molotovpayne

Bunkum has posted MANY times on VGForums... ...he's usually doling out post after post with the most gory sales figures - everything from consoles, to games, to accessories.
I honestly don't believe those numbers are true. The Wii is where I thought it would be, but i would've thought the PS2 would've been right behind it. I don't believe the PS2 would drop off that quickly after being on top all this time.
