You know, not every 360/PS3 owner praise the PS3 and bash the 360. Actually, i see no reason to prefer the PS3 over 360! These sale numbers are very fair if you ask me!

I know. I don't praise Sony in any way either. If you look through my posting history you will find me hating on Sony and Nintendo a lot. I don't own a 360 so I see no reason to hate on MS. I do own a PS3 and a Wii. I do however have reasons of why the PS3 and Wii was the consoles for me and not the 360.

The reason I asked him was because I have never seen him say anything positive about the PS3 in any way.

There is also a ton of fake 360 and PS3 accounts in peoples sigs just to create the illusion that those people have a PS3 or 360 in the beleif that it would somehow make their unjustified bashing (when it is unjustified[Kz is a flop because it didn't sell] not when it's justified[Sony takes out the software BC on the PS3 to stop people playing PS2 games on the PS3] ) on that console something OK to do.

Im sad about those Mad world and GTA CTW numbers tho :( People need to pick those two up there amazing.Gh0st_Of_0nyx

Here's something rather depressing if true. I want to get some official comments from NPD before we go believing it. Rumor has it that MadWorld only managed to sell 70,000 units in its retail life thus far. If true, I don't understand what companies have to do in order to get core/Mature titles to sell on the Wii. There cannot be millions of Wii owners in the states, yet less than 100,000 are up for purchasing.

Hardware sales about where I'd thought they'd be, but wow KZ2 sales are way lower. After all the ads I'm sure there is going to be disappointment at Sony. Why the hell are PS3 owners not buying it in greater numbers? Looks like a rocksolid title to me. If I had a PS3 I'd have snapped it up ASAP!blue_hazy_basic

Rumor has it that MadWorld only managed to sell 70,000 units in its retail life thus far. If true, I don't understand what companies have to do in order to get core/Mature titles to sell on the Wii. There cannot be millions of Wii owners in the states, yet less than 100,000 are up for purchasing.

See I found a 7/10 score for CoD2 and look here, there is a 7.4/10 review of Half Life. Like you said it's nothing wrong with good :)

Finding the lowest review is always a fun game.

See I found a 7/10 score for CoD2 and look here, there is a 7.4/10 review of Half Life. Like you said it's nothing wrong with good :)

Oh yes i'd agree with that i usually ignore the topfew and bottom few marks on Metacritic .. it's just that both Edge and Game central are scores that i trust .. they are both really harsh markers so a 7 is like an 8 from most other sites.

Sony hyped Killzone to high heaven and i think they got a good game at the end of the day .. but another shooter won't be a system seller like say Metal Gear or Final fantasy as it blends into the crowd .. and when people are still happy paying CoD 4 online do they need to get Killzone 2

But a million sales isn't a disaster as some would want you to believe.

I saw all kinds of hype for this game and tons of released videos on just about every gaming site I went to, so I have to completely disagree with you on the marketing...but I'll give you no argument on the length. The point is that Nintendo gamers get so few games that you'd think they'd be all over it...especially given the game's replay value.

Actually i've seen loads of TV adverts for Madworld .. it's poor sales arre a real kick in the dangglies !

even as a limited game it's still better than many Wii games out there.

But GTA chinatown .. well that's just crazy .. it should be selling by the knocked off truck load !! 100 million Ds' inthe world at least 1% should be buying itin the first month !!

Want a recent example? Call of Duty WAW sold a million on the Wii with more than 500.000 gamers registered in online MP modes. As for Madworld and No More Heroes; are we forgeting its Suda's best game (NMH) and Platinum Games never manages to sell alot. In fact i'l say it right now; next "bomb" = BayonettaGrinning_Demon

Every once in awhile a company gets gutsy and tries to release one, and it generally backfires on them. With the massive install base the Wii has, it should simply be selling more games of all types...including these types of games. The fact that many of these titles can't break through showsthat most sincere efforts aren't worth it.

Like NMH, for example. It was said it sold extremely poorly, and the sequel is coming.

With these numbers, the Wii is one step closer to Complete Global Saturation.

I'm not sure I can even think of five good, "mature", third party games on the Wii. A lot of them have been re-makes, like RE4, or just bad like Dead Rising and Manhunt 2. The only good ones I can think of we've already mentioned, and it would seem two out of three of those haven't done well so far.

I can't find the Wii more appealing than the the 360 or PS3 just based on games alone, but that's just personal opinion.

I said they're "getting the shaft" because they're not seeing much that's in-depth, and not seeing much that's designed for core/mature gamers. The whole thing really goes back to my original argument about how many of themmay have given up on Nintendo entirely. And I asked the question because I was sincerely interested in everyone's opinions on it.

The more gamers I speak to both in RL and on the web that were Nintendo loyalists, and would have gone for games like that, have basically turned their back on Nintendo and gone to either the PS3 or 360. I was wondering if that seemed to hold true with others out there, or just my own personal experience.

If 360 keeps selling 150.000 more than PS3 monthly, and repeats 2008 holiday in 2009 last two months, that is, outsell PS3 by 500.000 each month, then the 8 million gap will widen to 10.000.000 !!!!!

But even if they do, imagine if it was 360 exclusive, like Gears 2, which sold 1.3 million first week in US alone

Who wants less than half the profit they could potentially have ?

If PS3 games keep selling so low, it will not make sense to make a PS3 exclusive, since with a PS3/360 or 360 only release, could gain double the profit

Wasn't aware KZ2 = every other game on the PS3. Yeah, there hasn't been any monster sellers like Gears or Halo, but obviously Devs have managed to make a profit on the PS3 or they wouldn't be making games. That, or Sony would close the studios. :|
