Well I don't exactly believe in what he is saying. A $100 PS3 cut with introduction of Slimmodelwould be huge for Sony as it would at least get itself in the same ball park as the WII and the XBOX and I feel is a magic point for a lot of consumers.

I guess this only shows what we can expect from a PS4. Look at Nintendo and the GC => Wii. If this keeps up, Sony might overclock their PS3, maybe put in a slightly better gpu and call it PS4 to try to make up the money lost, after all Sony doesn't have the endless wallet of MS. themyth01

I think this is the time for Nintendo to start thinking about a price cut because even with the release of Wii Sports Resort the system didn't manage to sell much more than the 360.

some people here do have interest in how the industry is going. it could give some indication on what could be on the horizon for gaming in the future.

The 360 sold very well in 2007, which is regarded as the Xbox 360's best year, games-wise. Now, I'm going to piggy back on the argument PS3 fans constantly use and say that the Xbox 360 has no games this year. Now, if it can sell as well as it has without any games, one can only imagine how much sales will improve when the big time exclusives start coming out this fall leading up to the holiday season.
