Man what's up with the really low sale numbers?

I think we should all try to keep things in perspective here. Hardware sales are not "really low", they are actually very good.
You have to keep in mind that the insane Wii sales numbers were not going to hold up forever. Market saturation would hit at some point at their current price point. Wii sales are still extremely solid. Since when is selling 250 thousand units in a month a bad thing? Never. It's never a bad thing.
For 360, it's the same number they held last year before the recession REALLY hit hard. From the view of the 360, it's like the recession hasn't happened yet. 360 sales are pretty predictable in that they tend to be very solid.
The only system doing "really low" is the PS3. It's half of what it should be. It should be selling right up with the 360. It's over 70 thousands units down. The real issue is that for the PS3, low sales has been a trend for some time now. Actually, it's normal for 3rd place. The problem for Sony is that their system costs so much isn't a bad situation for them to be in 3rd place. If it were a cheap system like the Wii at 3rd place it would still be doing fantastic.
In any case, I wouldn't worry about the PS3. Once the price finally drops again (not a fake price drop as they have been doing, but a real one) people will flock to buy one. You'll then see PS3 sales numbers beating 360 for a while and then likely level out with them.
On the other hand, if PS3 sales don't skyrocket after the price drop / slim, then may the lord have mercy on Sony. In a worst case scenario, the new slim model will have RROD issues or require a recall. However at this point something like that might effectively kill the PS3, so you can be sure that Sony won't let that happen.
