Nvidia confirms that Final Fantasy 13 is coming to the PC as well!

Nvidia, the leading graphics card manufacturer, has confirmed that Final Fantasy 13 will be arriving on the PC! :D

Nvidia needs to shut up and get back to making video cards; the HD 4870 from ATI is whipping it's ass.

As for FFXIII, I will only listen to information given out by Square alone. Too many rumors are floating around the FF license these days.

Yeah, for the price the HD4870 is a good deal, although I don't think it's the strongest card available ATM (or am I wrong?).

The HD 4870 is floating between the GTX 260 and GTX 280 in performance, but it's a lot more cost-efficient than the latter two (the HD 4870 costs $250-$300 on average while the GTX 260 costs $350-$400 on average and the GTX 280 costs $450-$500 on average). The HD 4870x2 will be released in early August and will basically be two HD 4870's taped together and will be similar to the 9800GX2, except a lot more powerful. It is expected to retail at a starting price of $450 and be the most powerful video card to date.

And I'm very skeptical for this announcement as well.

People do that on any platform. Didn't Nintendo lose like 1 billion dollars due to that problem on the DS in one year? Releasing FF13 on PC will be greatly profitable, since it widens the market.

The GTX 280 completely destroys anything that ATI has to offer. The 9800 GX2 does as well. I like ATI better, but when it comes to high-end graphics cards, nVidia is completely dominant.

No... not really. The HD 4870 is a tiny bit below the GTX 280 in power and it costs more than $200 less on most conditions. Once the HD 4870x2 is released in August, ATI will house the world's most powerful video card to date, and it'll be at a good price as well.

There's no way of knowing that given we don't have piracy figures. Especially since PC gaming has been growing much faster in global retail and online revenue than consoles recently.

If block buster rents out 20 copies of GTA that means they purchased them. Second hand sales were still at some point purchased.

It is just easier to pirate PC games. I am never going to mod one of my consoles.

This is a bit of a non-sequitur.

The only person trying to diminish the impact of piracy is you, claiming it only affects the PC to a significant extent. The truth is it affects all platforms significantly (even the DS and PSP).

if there is a pc version i definitely buy that version if not then the ps3 version :P

Im a PC gamer and i love FF games. Also loved a few other JRPG's. Pretty much the only reason i bought a PS3 tbh. If FF does go to PC i will be selling the PS3 i think.

I totally agree, the HD4870 is delivering the same performance at a much lower price compared to the GTX280

If that was true, then why did Mass Effect, Devil May Cry 4 and Gears of War go to PC? Even the great Halo franchise went there. See its nowhere near as bad as you think ;)
