Imagine Max Payne 3 with this, Bullets going through his eyes lol. People may even faint lol.faizan_faizanI think too much realism in games will be bad. I will never be able to shoot someone that looks so real in a video game ever. :?
lol Just kidding. :D Can you imagine a fps game with graphics like that? Now imagine by using mods you'll be able to take a high res pic of you're boss, apply it to a character in the game, shoot him in the face then post the video on youtube just for the lulz.
I bet you wouldn't even have to bother going at work the next day or I should say you could start looking for another job.:P
Graphics quality seen in such demonstrations and benchmarks are almost never seen in actual games. So I don't expect to see that kind of graphics anytime soon.
Next gen pc will be able to do this in game but it won't get used because many gamers refuse to update their hardware in a timely fashion. It may get used in 2017.
The realism of a character isnt what makes them have meaning, its the dimension of a character thats makes them important. I can kill a thousand of guys rendered in super detail and not give a crap, but once the character have a persona, motive, family, elements that make them 3 dimensional, thats when i do care
Nvidia Dawn looked good to me already in it's ancient, 2003 Nvidia FX series tech-demo:

If all game models in today's games looked like that, it would be perfectly ok with me. (here's hope for next-gen games)
GTA 7 and you drive backwards and hit a pedestrian and you you see her misshapen corpse coming from underneath your car. Haha! It would definitely change how we think about presentation in videogames and how to keep things fun as opposed to gruesome.
I like the expressions, and some look extremely realistic. It's just that the head doesn't look like it has "muscles" underneath the skin. It's hard to describe, but when the man smiles or frowns, his cheeks just look like there's nothing in them- like they're filled with air or something.jman1553I know some people who are like that.
Nvidia Dawn looks like a gen behind in front of that. That is a REALLY impressive work.Nvidia Dawn looked good to me already in it's ancient, 2003 Nvidia FX series tech-demo:

Gore and violence in most today's games still isn't portrayed realistically tho.
There were attempts in the past (i.e. Soldier of Fortune, Manhunt) but it's mostly "cartoony" violence, i.e. the comic book type and over-exaggerated.
Altho I must say that The Last of Us looks quite realistically brutal. (also, Beyond)
Now he can finally make that games he always wanted to make "Head Model: Just a Head Model"David Cage just made a best friend
