If you're willing to fork over 3,000$ that is.

Why are you mad for? It's only the price of a high-end PC, a PS4, a Switch and a nice UHDTV. Very reasonable.

PC Hardware is about to make another jump. It’s too bad the consoles blew their wad on these half-steps already. In 2018 we could have consoles with inexpensive Ryzen CPUs and cheaper, more powerful GPUs with Volta about to launch.

Nintendo has the right idea. Stop chasing tech and innovate the experience.

Bad idea, at least in the forum every pc gamer already has uncompromised 4k/60fps for just $700 or less.

@ellos: @i_p_daily: I would like to have it, but I would not spend that much on a GPU. Besides, I just bought a laptop to replace my secondary rig (i7 3770K, GTX 1060)...

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B075KX1MJS/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top?ie=UTF8. $1299 for i7 7700HQ, GTX 1070. Good deal for a capable gaming laptop.

I can use it to play games at work and on the go. Also, it makes for a good VR setup with the Oculus Rift that I can easily move around. Now I am going to sell the secondary rig to offset the cost of the laptop.

SOLD!!!.......................to some sucker who doesnt know any better.

I'll stick to my 1080ti until mid-2018 when Volta releases.

I need to upgrade my CPU anyway, I really thought overclocking my I5-6600k would be enough.

All the games I own so far I've been able to with the exception of PUBG. I have to scale down from ultra to high. It's an early access title...lol. Keep in mind I got my rig overclocked...

So long as developers have to cater to consoles, you will never see games that fully utilize GPU's like this to their max potential.

Yet we have games that even the Zotac 1080Ti Amp Extreme (the most powerful, off the shelf gaming GPU available) can't run maxed out at 4k and 60fps.

Also remember that this, like the Titan, is not aimed at gamers it's designed for research hence the Tensor cores (110 TFlops!). From a gaming perspective it's not that much better than a 1080Ti.

@scatteh316: They dropped the GeForce from its name. The first Titan was aimed at prosumers for its DP performance but subsequent card followinf GK110 dropped the DP and they were very much gaming cards. This one appears to be aimed at non-gamers but why not just sell it as a Quadro?

The Titan and the **80 Ti aren't in direct competition, so maybe we'll see the **80 Ti launching with the other high end Geforce. There was a rumor that the Volta aren't going to be seen in gaming cards and the Geforce cards would be called Ampere, probably just Volta without Tensor Cores, HBM2/Controller (Geforce will be getting gddr6), and other tweaks.

PC is all about choices. You can build it whatever you wish to do with it. I have a GTX 1080Ti now, that's all I need, I got a good deal from Cyber Monday and I'll be on easy streaks for years to come until I'm ready to upgrade.

Yes there's "if you want quality you have to pay for it" just like PC, this also applies to upgrade consoles now. You either have it or you don't.

If this were true there would be NO need for New Nintendo consoles but since they keep making new ones you sir are incorrect.

Yeah, there's no chance i'd buy a $3000 GPU, but this clearly isn't marketed to even enthusiast users. I'm waiting for the next-gen nVidia cards. My 1070 will tide me over great until then.

@i_p_daily: Yes, I have a limit. That Titan V is way past the point of diminishing returns. It is just a waste for minimal gains over my 1080 Ti. None of my setups are lacking quality... except for the consoles I own that force me to play exclusives at 30fps. :(

It's only about 30%-35% faster than a 1080ti so don't expect that uncompromised 4k60 gaming.

4x the cost for a measly 30%.Ngreedia sure knows how to milk the suckers dry....

If the next ti card is a cut down version of this, minus the tensor cores and the hbm memory(they'll probably use gddr5x or gddr6) then volta is gonna be a huge disappointment.

Seriously it's going to be 20% faster than a 1080ti at its best

@goldenelementxl: Exactly. Console hardware is a joke. Whether I'm playing a Switch or a PS4 or an X1X is irrelevant to me. I want to puke at the graphics either way. So instead of trying to compete with low-end PCs, Sony and MS should focus more on releasing killer first party titles.

This is what can differentiate consoles from PCs. Right now, as a PC gamer, the only console I have any reason to own is a Switch. Xbox has no exclusives and Sony's exclusives are mostly just JRPGs (only good exclusives are HZD and Bloodborne).

It's actually only 20% faster than my OC'd 1080 Ti in FireStrike lol. The gap would probably widen in FireStrike Ultra though.

With that said, this card seems to be geared towards deep learning and AI research. I expcet the 1180 Ti to be about 35% faster than the current 1080 Ti. Not quite in uncompromised 4K territory but very, very close.

Why are you mad for? It's only the price of a high-end PC, a PS4, a Switch and a nice UHDTV. Very reasonable.

If MS designs a $999 console it would smash that sh!t.

Agree.

I build my PC for pure gaming on the highest quality levels, it's not a workstation at all. I have a 1080Ti now, it's way more then enough to be playing AAA games high level and that's my quality limits right there. I admit, I like the Gold plating Titan V, but I'm not that stupid to spend $3 Grand just for a GPU and that's out of my league.

@phbz: hahaha yea pc gamers in this forum run 4k ultra 60fps all games with 700€ pc hahaha then say consoles are trash for costing 500 and playing some 4k 60fps some 4k 30fps some almost 4k resolution too.

Doesnt matter if we talk about 179€ xbox one s with game and controller or 500€ xbox one x or 349€ ps4 pro. An equivalent pc costs way more
