Nvidia to unveil its new GPU in march at PAX ......... (( UPDATED))

well i was expecting to have my gf100/gtx480 around march but this announcement mean i have to wait at least till April ..

does anyone still interested in these cards anymore cuz im going to ATI side .

I honestly don't care what Nvidia comes out with as long as it drops video card prices further on both sides, espcially the DX11 cards.

On a side note, I wonder what they're calling the 8800GT this time... :lol:

PhysX, riiiiight. A serious drop in FPS so Batman's cape waves more realistically is totally worth it, hmm?

ati has pretty much walked away with market share right now. No way nvidia will be the 5000 series cards now . as soon as they out out there cards all ati has to do is a price drop . heck ati could put out the 6000 series a few months later .

They need to seriously stop making cards like bags of potato chips, every week there's a new one WTF? I feel every six months should be the minimum. Plus they are always way way overpriced.

You can never have too many new technologies. Just make them more practical.

I wonder what Sony and MS will put in next gen. Probably something that is available now (maybe with modifications), as their consoles must be in development already ...

Im not willing to pay $500 for a card when I can get a 5850 for much less and get the same amount of power for it.

Untill then my 4890 will do just fine.

I have been anticipating Nvidia's new offerings. I will be buying one of the new cards this summer.

wait for fermi if you interested in dx11 gaming or wait for the 6000 series from ati cuz the 5000 series doesnt have the right hardware for heavy dx11 tessellation rendering.

I've jumped ship from Nvidia. I'm tired of paying thrice the price for a product that preforms just as well/barely better than what AMD is offering. Sticking with the 58** and 59** series for a while. Fermi can kiss my ***.

.. What is the point when there is no games out or coming out in the upcoming 6 months to a year that will need a video card.. If you have a 9800 gtx you will run all games incredibly well by today's standards.. a 4850 is extremely cheap and slightly does the 9800 gtx.. There is nearly no point in getting a new video card inless your the type of person that wants the absurdly high settings of above 1080p, 16xaa etc etc..

I've got a 9800 GT now. I'll buy a DX11 card and put them in SLI, with the 9800 dedicated for PhysX when available.

You can SLI DX11/10 cards, right?!

To the people saying Physx adds nothing i can't agree.

After playing Batman with it on (single 8800GT could handle normal physx fine) it added alot to the overall atmosphere of the game and i could not go back and play it without it now. The scarecrow levels blow the mind with Physx set to high.

Displacement of fog and water really is something damn cool, and hopefully by next gen consoles this stuff will be a standard, 10,000 particles will be the norm.

It adds quite abit Cryostasis as well, but i think Metro 2033 is goning to really show off what Physx can do as it will have fluid dynamics.

But hardware accelerated Physx is locked to nvidia hardware and it doesn't seem Nvidia wants it any other way.
