NX Rumors | Luigi's Mansion 3 | Remote Play

From the same NeoGaf user who leaked that the NX has 4 Wii U ports in the works has posted new information about the NX.

-NX Remote Play-

The NX will have a controller with it that has a screen similar to the gamepad on the Wii U. Unlike the Wii U, there will be a remote play option where the NX controller can connect to the NX through an internet connection and stream games from it, like the PS4 with the Vita / PC.

The NX is going to have a screen controller (whether it's optional or standard I don't know) and can be used anywhere to play your home console games. The controller itself will not have any processing capabilities, it'll essentially be a dummy vita. It'll likely have basic OS functions to access the NX console from anywhere, like a tiny cpu. Nintendo will use enhanced Wii U gamepad streaming tech, and allow the controller to be taken anywhere, connect to the NX console at home (likely through Wi-fi or personal hotspots and the NX console will likely have to be in stand-by mode). Basically, it's remote play built into the box and won't require a $200 add-on to experience it.

-Luigi's Mansion 3-

Luigi's Mansion 3 is in development for the NX. It was apparently in Development as a Wii U title but was pushed back after the Wii U's failure.

This rumor gained popularity awhile ago from Geno but this isn't my source. This was a T1 to start but today I got another source to give some info on it. Two different sources have told me that it is in development for NX, and one source said it's being developed by Next Level Games, who is big enough to do this and Federation Force at the same time. One source said it started as a Wii U game but after the disappointing performance of the Wii U and the scheduled release date for the game being late in the console's cycle, Nintendo decided to switch development over to NX. (basically the same situation as Zelda for Wii U, but no word on if this game will also get a Wii U version). The other source said it's a pretty big deal (he didn't elaborate if he meant Nintendo is making it a big deal or his workplace is). -Final Fantasy XV NX-

FF XV is getting a port to the NX while there is no word on a port for the FF VII Remake.

My single source on this said he's heard more of his sources mention it's coming to NX. No idea when. I pressed for FFVIIR but nobody has heard about it. Gaf's very own mod Kagari hinted that Sony may have co-funded it and it may never get released outside of PS4 and PC (like Street Fighter V).

-New IP's-

Nintendo is developing new IP's for the NX, which im not sure should be obvious cause new ips generate hype, but then Nintendo and new IP's dont mix...

I asked this because I noticed some complaints about how there were no leaks about new IP and NX was looking like another Mario/Zelda factory with a bunch of remasters and ports. The source said "I'm not allowed to give specifics, but that's a sure bet."

This Rumor is not confirmed at all at this point, so take it with a grain of salt, but it seems at least reasonable.

Makes me wonder how many of these rumors will turn out true in the coming months.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is interesting, and a 15 port makes sense I suppose. Rumors already point to DQ11 getting similar treatment, so it's not outside the realm of possibility for Square to put their two largest games on the platform. Helps Nintendo, establishes trust.

Nice to see Sony is once again able to provide that innovation and lead the industry for the competitors to follow and still have a chance to succes.

If XV is on Xbone than I expected it on NX. Plus, previous 4 leaks isn't confirmed. This kid needs to calm down before saying his predictions are leaks.

Once again let's all get crazy with this lame rumors and watch the disappointment as we find out the truth.

Just because the rumors came from a site like NeoGAF does not mean they turn out to be true. I will reserve my judgment until I actually see real information, especially from Nintendo.

If just half of these are launch titles I'll be very happy.

@foxhound_fox: It's actually amazing how well kept the "secret" is, to the point where the leaks can't really be trusted (as they change sligthly between each other).

Ninty is really doing a great job at making sure we don't know what it is before they decide to show it to us (well, so far I mean).

The leaker stated that maybe it would be pushed "...but no word on if this game will also get a Wii U version." when talking about Zelda Wii U. This is false since Nintendo has recently announced Zelda coming to Wii U still.

Sorry, but if the rumor isn't from SuperMetalDave64 or Emily Rogers, then I don't trust.

The also is referring to Zelda getting Wii U and NX releases and he is unsure if LM3 would get a wii u\nx release like that or a pure NX release

Ouch, we're not getting Luigi's Mansion 3 because they thought the Wii U was shit so their shitting on those of us who got it. Thanks Nintendo. They really did yank support prematurely... not confirmed but don't doubt it since they've all but given up on Wii U since the end of 2014 IMO and just over-sensationalized what they have put out.

@aigis: What Nintendo was / is lacking are those AAA caliber new IPs Sony and other platforms offering every single generation. IF rumors are somewhat true about Nintendo actually trying new ips ( I hope are AAA caliber and not just 1 or 2 for the entire generation ) im kinda excited to see what is what.

@aigis: Oh of course, silly me. I thought it was directly from Emily Rogers. Ok yeah, I think it's true. Nintendo would want to save the gems from the failure of the console. Mario Maker should stay on the Wii U though.

I've been thinking since the beginning that a lot of the missing elements from the Wiiu Mario Maker were held out to encourage the NX version...

Sounds good if true..if Nintendo is going for new ips then great..Splatoon turned out great...meaning they don't have to slap Mario or Zelda on it. Looking forward to E3. :P

Lugis mansion 3 is the first rumour that's got me exited about the NX. Games like Mario kart looked amazing on wiiU and the original luigis mansion still holds up well. Just imagine what a new one might look like, especially if the NX is higher spec than current consoles.

Just give me a preorder button so I can press it already.
