OBJECTION! A $1000 gaming PC cannot run Oblivion maxed - at 4xFSAA 1920x1080 Oblivion is still not at a steady framerate in the woods - and of course by maxed I mean with all the awesome graphics mods, high-res texture swaps, et cetera.
PC game developers always set the graphics so that the "max" cannot really be hit for a year or two after the game comes out.

On such a resolution you don't really need way high AA anyways.[QUOTE="rykaziel"]To be honest, I've never played a game that looked fantastic but played horribly.Ninja-Vox
It's called Dino Crisis 3. :P
No it's called Ninja Gaiden for Xbox.

9.4 = amazing score for an amazing game. In other words, that's your opinion, and very few would agree.

That's a month of rent for me. A MONTH. I can either pay my rent or buy a computer to play Crysis. Hmm. Let me think about that.

PC gamers have been taking a lot of potshots at the Xbox 360 lately. From the hardcore PC gamers I've talked to, if the 360 had KB&M support they'd feel differently, but they're annoyed that a lot of PC games are not PC-exclusive anymore. In fact, the KB&M argument is all that's really left here.
"Crysis on PC, woo, consoles gamers are owned!"
"But it's coming to 360 / PS3, I'll enjoy playing it on my console"
"Yeah but the graphics are better on PC"
"Only if you have a high-end PC, the graphics on my 360 / PS3 are actually better than the average PC gamers PC, who's probably sitting on a GeForce 6600 / 7600 or if he's lucky a GeForce GeForce 7900gs / Radeon x1950pro"
"But I have a $1500 gaming PC, and you don't have keyboard & mouse support, and I paid $10 less for the game!"
"So your only argument is that you paid $10 less even though you spent $1100 more on your gaming platform? KB&M support isn't that big of an issue"

I have to admit this specific Crysis pic is STUNNING, although i would never buy a pc for a shooter game, i DROOL at the idea that a RPG could be made in this engine, in 4-5 years a pc would be a must IF such a RPG ever comes that is

Then you woke up ? 600$ is the graphics card alone, another 600$ the CPU, unless you want a system obsolete in less than 6 months that is, that is at least 2000$

i paid 1000 for mine, and i can play it, i just WANT i dont need but WANT a new gpu for the most 500, so no 2000? way off!
btw im talking about canadian prices here
I built the system in my sig so that I would have no problem running Crysis @ max. I am starting to think however that I will still suffer from framerate problems. I will more than likely have to upgrade to play with literally EVERYTHING @ max.MadExponent
dude calm down, you have sli,
all you need is a dual core processor,
2gb ram
geforce 8800GTX
or radeon HD2900 to play it at MAX
enjoy

let me own you, the hardware your looking at is high end parts, the graphics cards and CPU's your looking at today will drop alot when crysis comes out. why spend money on a game thats gunna come out in 6+ months? owned
