So, hear me out. First of all, I played them in the same manner. Somewhat quickly, w/ beer, starting on Wednesday, staying up relatively late on Thursday into my Friday off and finishing it. I played them exactly 2 weeks apart. ODST is, well, not nearly as pretty as Uncharted, but it's more atmospheric. Mainly because the sounds and music is just really, really great. Now, I know that they're different games. One is an action adventure platformer/TPS while the other is a FPS with a story. But, they're of similar length, and Uncharted includes too much shooting to not be considered in a shooter sense. Funnily, I like Action Adventure more than FPSes, but in this case, ODST wins. I liked how the story was told, what the story was, and the way you "discovered" the story through flashbacks. And the shooting. That said, I hated the last few levels in Uncharted, and the last level in ODST. So, I suppose the point of this topic is: Even though ODST is "an expansion", its single player is roughly the same length as Uncharted, and it's better. In my opinion, of course. So, keep bashing it if you will, but just remember. It can be considered better than one of the best PS3 exclusives. People that have played both: Agree? Disagree? People that haven't played both: You should, they're both great :P
well anybody who votes in this poll is obviously gonna bring a biased opinion to it.....I have yet to play the full Uncharted 2 game, which most of SW posters haven't either, nor played ODST.
I am not gonna vote in this poll but I will say that if I had to predict I would think I would end up liking Uncharted 2 more.
Oooohhh, I see now, I sorta assumed what with it being so close to release that he was talking about no. 2. yeah, they're both older games, as odst is on the halo 3 engine. It wouldn't surprise me if Uncharted 2 is better.

As for the topic, I think I'll have to neither agree nor disagree, they were both really good single player games, ODST for it's atmosphere/gameplay and Uncharted for it's adventuring and graphics.
I haven't played either, though I have played Halo 3 and Uncharted 2 MP. I do prefer uncharted 2 gameplay wise over Halo 3 but I have no idea how much it's improved on the original. For all I know ODST could have the most epic campaign ever, I only watched the first 20 min or so on youtube. Honestly though im pretty sure I would rather play Uncharted over ODST, I just don't really think Halo is that great whereas Uncharted seems more in line with my interests.
I think if not for the last 4 or 5 chapters of Uncharted, it would be closer. That said, my friend told me he wishes there were more chapters like the last few (I lent it to him, he just finished it). So clearly, it's not a universal opinion that the end of Uncharted didn't belong.

well, i've played through the ODST campaign (really enjoyed it, btw). haven't even touched the uncharted 2 beta, so i really have no idea. i'm guessing i'll prefer uncharted 2, but a lot of that is because i prefer third person to first person. i will say to PS3 owners only: don't hate on ODST too much. it really is a great experience, and you get the entire halo 3 multiplayer experience. granted, it might be an expansion, but its a mighty good one.
I disagree. sp vs sp I think Uncharted is slightly better.
I thought Uncharted was great, definitely underrated.
Overall package ODST wins. FireFight is just pure win. I just wish my friends weren't achievement whores so I could play it some more. (Good thing Bungie hates me and ends the game before we finish the 4th set)
Hes talking about uncharted 1, i wouldnt trust anyone who claimed ODSTs single player is better then Uncharted 2s after the reviews that have been coming through.
I have yet to play Uncharted 2, so I wouldn't know. But if a game that short is gettting perfects that leads me to believe moreso that scores are irrelevant for the most part.
I'm a fanboy so I chose that option, I can't say anything about ODST specifically but I don't like Halo games in general so I might hate ODST too. Uncharted on the other hand was my GOTY.
why compare uncharted when uncharted 2 has alraedy got higher scores then ODST on both gametrailers and IGN. Therefore U2 > ODST. as for U1. it is also greater then ODST but there is better competition out right now to compare.
I'm still waiting for ODST so I really can't comment on it, but if it's better than Uncharted that good news to me. I loved Uncharted, but I agree about the last few levels. The Jetski part is probably one of the most unnecessarily frustrating parts of the game. Respawning explosive barrels? Seriously?

I just bought my PS3 last week w/Uncharted... ODST arrived the very next day..... so I played them both and finished them both within a span of about 5 days...
I really enjoyed both games.... I'm a big fan of the Halo Series, but judging the 2 games campaigns I'd have to give the edge to Uncharted.... it was done extremely well.
Also I think all the people crying about Halo ODST costing $60 probably don't own a 360 anyways.... and its funny when cows talk about how terrible a deal ODST is, and then turn around and praise Heavenly Sword, Uncharted & don't mind paying $40 for a demo.
