The presidential race between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama is a virtual dead heat in much of the real world. But it's not so close in one virtual world.

Obama leads McCain 43% to 31% among the nearly 100,000 votes cast as of Friday on Xbox Live, according to Microsoft, which runs the online game service. The voting is part of a partnership between Microsoft and Rock the Vote, which allows Xbox 360 users to cast their presidential preferences via their game controllers.

how many of those voters are 18 or over?

I would be deeply saddened if votes are effected by this pole.

IMO USA is once again presented with a loss:loss choice :(

Ever since I've followed the US political scene (I live in Canada), it's never been anything but lose:lose. I mean, this election is probably better than Bush vs Kerry but not by much.

I know you love socialist ideas and taxes being shot up your a$$. The LA times give me a break. Thats the most left wing city in the united states. Ya mcain does have issues, hell all the canidates suck. Obama's a f'n lyer. (soldiers getting taken out of iraq)thats the dumbest thing anyone can possibly do. Thats likegoing to the zoo and watcing a gorilla behind glass and then taking the glass away. Iraqis would try to bomb us once again. He hasn't done $hit with the time hes been in office. Lets say your mom finds a tumer on her arm "God for bid" and she has to go see a docter. With amazing social healthcare she would have to wait months to find a docter. By the time she gets one it would be too late. You are entitled to your opinion but keep that political BS out of these forums.

what are you going on about ?

Are you that uninformed about obama that you don't even know what he's planning to do!

That just ignorant praising something you know nothing about.

Its sad that some corrupted minds out there will prefer a regime exactly like what Bush did. For what reason? So the poor suffer and the rich get wealthier? Its mind boggling.

That's the typical socialist point of view. A man is entitled to the fruits of his labor. It seems liberals want to rob the successful to give free handouts to the lazy. It's sickening.

No, thats a clear eyed average American's point of view. The less advantaged aren't always lazy my dear bureaucratic friend. So the middle class are lazy people?

Ironically, McCain is pitting himself as a liberal

The Xbox 360 truly knows how to bring it home, from game conventions to comic cons to politics. It's just nice to know you can find the "IT" thing at the moment when you turn on your 360.

I wish we could split the United States in two, let McCain rule one side and let Obama serve the other, and lets see how things would be like within 4 years. If people want more of the same live on that side, if you want change for the better live on the other. Too bad that will never happen.

The irony there is pretty humorous. Obviously Obama will have more votes when the main demographic is teenagers. Apparently it's the popular thing to do to support a democrat, especially when the only word he ever says is change.

This is exactly what makes me sick.

The rich are rich for a reason (most at least).....They WORKED for it!

So you think that it is wrong to be successful and earn your way to happiness? Of course you do, just as most socialists do. How about some income redistribution? Lets just take the money from the people that worked and earned and give it to those that sit on their arse all day and do nothing to better themselves? Make minumum wage? I DON"T FEEL BAD FOR YOU! Go to college as I did, get a career.

I am a single father and I still make it without taking money from those that have achieved more than I did.

Sir, it is you that has the corrupted mind.

That is a sick way of looking at things. You had better keep your hands off of my money.

Then that's what they should do. You're entitled to the fruits of your labor, be it working at Wal-Mart or owning your own business. It's not okay to take from the rich, just because not everyone is rich. That is the typical Robin Hood socialist message that is hurting us as a country. We have more poor people now with all these government programs than when my mother and father were young. We make the people dependent on the government, and they feed off of us, the tax payers, then they don't do anything, and we only become more and more of a welfare state.

Thats likegoing to the zoo and watcing a gorilla behind glass and then taking the glass away. Iraqis would try to bomb us once again. Umm, somebody obviously blindly believes everything the boob tube tells him to. Iraq didn't bomb us, Osama bin laden did, and he's based in Afghanistan...9-11 was used to scare the american public into going to war in other places rather than where we were attacked from. He hasn't done $hit with the time hes been in office. Lets say your mom finds a tumer on her arm "God for bid" and she has to go see a docter. With amazing social healthcare she would have to wait months to find a docter. By the time she gets one it would be too late. You do realize social healthcare doesn't remove the existance of privitized health care right? Those who already have healthcare would still get it, and those who don't would probably think the idea of finding a doctor after "months" to be a better alternative than having no doctor at all. You are entitled to your opinion but keep that political BS out of these forums.

I love when people just spout what the media tells them. Vote for whoever you want, but do it for real reasons and not the deluded ones you have right now.
