"The graphics are slightly better, the load times are shorter, and there is a bit of new content in the form of the Knights of the Nine add-on, which is available as a separate purchase on other platforms."
Graphics are better but for some reason it got 0.1 off in the sound.
It looks like there will always be 360 fanboys to give us owners a bad name :(
Enjoy the game Sony owners, its great!!
[QUOTE="kingyoto"]what I don't get is why it got a 1 off from sound otherwise it would be the same...NteksMaybe the volume was turned down during the review process? Wouldn't HDMI cable provide even better sound then optical ?
Yeah, that is if GS has a receive that supports HDMI (they're quite expensive) but they probably do nonetheless.

I dont think they actually took it off because the sound was worse, just that they couldn't give a year old game the same score (even though it was better) so they took off on a random thing like sound.Maybe the volume was turned down during the review process? Yup subjective the PS3 version is better then the xbox 360 version. but they just couldn't jusifty giving the same score to a 1year old game.[QUOTE="MikeE21286"]Maybe the volume was turned down during the review process? Sorry, just thought I'd add a bit of logic to your argument.[QUOTE="kingyoto"]what I don't get is why it got a 1 off from sound otherwise it would be the same...NteksMaybe the volume was turned down during the review process? [QUOTE="R-Dot-Yung"]why are u trollingHeithI'm sorry if 9.6 > 9.5 doesn't compute for you..
Im sorry but AAA = AAA
0.1 dosnt mean squat since Oblivion on PS3 came out 1 year lator ... standerards are higher now and as such GameSpot couldnt justify giving PS3 version the same score ...
PS3 - The Bad: slightly annoying performance issues.
360 - The Bad: Frequent though fairly brief loading times; you might run into some technical issues with performance.
Hmmm.... and let's look at Resident Evil 4. PS2 version scored lower than the Gamecube version even though it had way more content. PS2 had a 9 in tilt and GC had a 10 in tilt and that's the only difference... when games come out a year later they score lower, yet PS3 Oblivion scored just .1 worse.
And stop trying to spin a 9.5 as bad news = /
New update for the 360 version which fixed all of those issues so the comment isn't correct.Still looks better and loads better according to the review.
so don't even bother AAA is AAA.

They don't have the 360 so they are only going off what others have said. Those of us that have the 360 and the game know there was an update that corrected those issues.Still looks better and loads better according to the review.

Ho hohoho, what's up now, cows. The game had one year to improve, and still didn't. It looks like every multiplat will be better on the 360. Heith

I know it's hard to actually read the review, but you should before you make a post that might make you look stupid. :)

I've actually heard that this is not so and that people over on the IGN board are actually trying to "Un-Patch" (don't ask me, that's what they said) The new patch because of issues that it has caused with the game.

I haven't had any issues since the patch, and I've played it for 4 or 5 hours now.

Actually, since Oblivion was released for the 360 BEFORE the recent patch and scored a 9.6, I figure the patch should add at least a .1 to the final score. Therefore, I declare the patched 360 Oblivion 9.7.gunnz4hire
[QUOTE="Heith"]....Hewkii
Actually, he said what I was thinking.
Actually, I think the one year extra is the exact reason why it scored less... It's an old game, yet still a great one. 9.5 is a great score, don't even try and claim ownage on this one...Not-A-Stalker
We will. We claim ownage the first AAA on the PS3 was on the 360 a year ago . We claim ownage because the 360 version is superior by .1 . I always knew this would be AAA but I thought more a 9.3 like the PC version.
