They probably should of waited for the Xbox 360 update to see if it makes them the same.
I just got done watching and I must say the Xbox 360 looks better character model wise but PS3 wins in textures and lighting, but who knows if the update will totally fix that for 360 version.
God the draw distance has been fixed from the 360 in the latest patch! Also it got crisper textures, faster loading, and less bloom. Now that is the last time I'm gonna say this! But this won't be the last thread!Mudig
Oh the updates already out? havnt played it in a while just knew there was a patch coming to fix the problems.
When comparing them, i must say the PS3 oblivion's landscapes do look better, the characters....not so much...HappyInvader101I have both version. The only reason I bought the PS3 version today is because my 360 ate my game disk. But so far the load time are noticeably better and the draw distance and textures are also noticeably better. The only complaint I have is no rumble. Oh yea Knight of the Nine comes free.

The textures look better also for the 360 after the update? Cool. Too bad I didn't get to experience the full game because of my lame disk drive.[QUOTE="Mudig"]God the draw distance has been fixed from the 360 in the latest patch! Yeah, go download it now. Like the PS3's comparison...it's noticeably different.[QUOTE="justforlotr2004"][QUOTE="Mudig"]God the draw distance has been fixed from the 360 in the latest patch! I quickly noticed when I reached to a building, I was able to see the details of it better. Before it was blurry.Faces have more detail on PS3. Better textures overall on the PS3. Look at the two shields on the PS3 and 360, PS3's shield is much more detailed. More draw distance on PS3. Better lighting on PS3. It goes on and on.KeyWiiAnd all of that has been fixed in the patch. In fact, the 360 version had better textures before and now they are even better.

and hopefully you won't.

I have the PS3 version. I bought it today. The textures are noticeably better than the 360 (before the patch). Now after the patch I'm sure they are about the same. The plus that the PS3 version has now is the free Knights of the Nine.

Look at when they're walking on the cracked dirt road, the PS3 already has the ruins in the distance loaded and visible, meanwhile, the X360 ruins pop in a few seconds later.KeyWiiWhich has been fixed with the patch.

yes that's true. But that was BEFORE the patch. We would have to wait for some other sort of comparison thing before we could make our final judgements.

Considering I can get Oblivion on 360 cheaper, and I can get Knights of the Nine, Mehrune's Razor, etc. Plus Shivering Isles this month.......

you should play the 360 version before you accuse someone. Now, just accept the fact that both versions are equal graphically, and enjoy the game for once. You don't have to "prove" to anyone that your system is the best. Just play it.
Who said the 360 version isn't patched? This comparison came AFTER the update. So we should assume it's already patched.sdifjdsThe video was not made after the update.

And I spent about 10 minutes running around in the wilderness looking at the draw distances, so I feel like I know more about the 360 version than you.

That would be fine if both version were actually equal, but um, they're not.[QUOTE="MADVLAD123"]Which has been fixed with the patch. He is going to ignore you like he did with me. You're right, those trailers are not equal to Oblivion on 360 right now.[QUOTE="MADVLAD123"]Which has been fixed with the patch. He is going to ignore you like he did with me. Thank you :D Wow its funny cuz that is what this forum is about. Lemmings have to prove that the 360 is a better console all of the time when both systems are equal with its own advantages and disadvantages. Graphically both version are about the same besides the load times for the PS3 version are better. It require 4.6 gigs just to play.[QUOTE="Tulak_Hord"][QUOTE="sdifjds"]Who said the 360 version isn't patched? This comparison came AFTER the update.
