Oblivion certainly is one of the greatest games i ever played, it definitely delivered huge on the next gen scale. Half Life is also an amazing game, and i loved Half Life 2. Sigh...Valve...just hurry up and cancel all this pointless episodic content and focus all your time on Half Life 3. You know what i find ironic? They said they were going to release this episodic content so we could get a lot of new Half Life 2 content fast. Well, it's been quite a long time since an episode has been released.

I'm not so sure. The Elder Scrolls series really dominates the open-ended fantasy RPG, and while a lot of people prefer Morrowind (or older TES games) for their complexity and depth in certain areas, the more enjoyable combat and vastly superior presentation might win some people over to Oblivion. I can definetly see some people not lacking in experience casting Oblivion as their favorite game - only fair, since it is one of the best games released over the past few years. I know I enjoyed it more than anything else this generation so far.AfterShafter

Oblivion is just WoW without the online (and although WoW is not as graphically strong as Obliv, it is more artistic).

i think its a great game too... but it is so addicting...(must go back to playing it)

Oblivion's level-scaling system sucks, the graphics aren't that great, it's one of the shorter RPGs out there, there's not many skills, not many attributes, and it seems like Bethesda didn't even try.
