First noticed the smell when I took it out of the box, in fact, the box itself reeked. It smelled like a mix between new console smell and a bizzare fishy smell. It's very hard to put into words. I was wondering if anyone else's system smelled a little funny to you? I almost have to open a window when playing because whatever came out of that box emits that stench. My wii is still fairly new (got it about a month ago) so I think it will go away eventually as it gets acclimated to my room. I don't know, I'm probably making it seem bigger than it is but I just found it strange :|
btw, all consoles smell weird. it's the smell of the plastic and packaging materials. as for the smell of fish, maybe someone in the chinese manufacturing plant was eating fish when packing up the consoles.
