I own an xbox 1,360, and all the Halo games. As a consumer and a fan of videogames, I can't believe Bungie has the nerve to charge a full 60 dollars for ODST. I thought the game was all the bells and whistles at first but just with shortened single player, yet I found outyesterday it the other way around.I mean the game is nothing but single player, firefight(horde mode), and a couple of Halo 3 maps. The only good thing about Halo is its multiplayer(besides Halo 1) Why would they do something like this:? Talk about crap value

its about as long as most games these days (8-10 hours), at least it has the decency to add a new multiplayer mode and every Halo 3 DLC. For someone who hasnt bought any of the DLC, this is especially a good deal.

They could have at least had a cheaper version that only came with the first disc.

Legendary Map Pack: $10

Mythic Map Pack: $10

ODST exclusive map pack: $10 (if available for dlc for halo 3 owners)

8-10 hour gameplay: Full game length and longer than an expansion

Firefight: Multiplayer component which should (like horde and nazi zombies) be really fun

Halo 3 Multiplayer: Same great online component and should only increase # of ppl online

-bungie has the best online community and releases new game modes and other fun things

seems worth it especially if ur a halo fan like u claim

Well some of us definately feel different. I enjoyed all the single players, except in 2 I could have done with less Arbiter missions. Still, I loved 2 all the same. I believe the MP is up there with the best, but it's not my thing. I paid $60 for Uncharted and Heavenly Sword, which have much less content. But it's a Halo title so it will be scrutinized more than most.

Anyway, as a proper response. The single player is open world and very, very good. Damn good. Probably the largest campaign yet. Many say that it's the best halo yet. They just made it a single player focuses game. Curse them for that! OMG!

haven't been paying as much attention to odst since it was announced as a expansion

i never claimed it as fact, but thats pretty much what most halo fans think. I have friends who finished campaign then didn't touch it afterwards

unlike other game genres, fps has little replay value without online multiplayer, it just sucks that this multiplayer is just basically halo 3 all over again with different stages, big whoop

halo games are set up in a way so you can replay it a crap load. I have about 70 hours alone in Halo 3's campaign missions. Heck, it is multiplayer, the campaign.

wow, how lame, you actually went to check my post history:roll: because no one could possibly dislike odst right:roll: I prefer my PS3 way more than my 360 or Wii, but that doesn't cloud my judgement on games. FYI, Alan Wake is one of my most anticipated games next year.I like Uncharted and Heavenly Sword because they're action adventure games. For me, FPS games need multiplayer more so then action adventure games. Why do you think FPS games are more pressured to include them. Which game do you think would be scrutinized for not including multiplayer, MW2, or God of War 3. I rest my case, so stop trying to make this a PS3 vs 360 pissing contest. Thats not what this is, nice try though.

And 8-10 is 4 hours longer than Gears, Halo 3, and many other games! And then there's multiplayer

why are people complaining about odst's value? 8 hours campaign + DLC + firefight is pretty good for $60.

Other games such as uncharted 1 only had about 8 hours of playtime and no online for $60.

Left 4 dead had 4 hours of playtime (one play through) and it was a full $60 dollars too.

ratchet and clank: future tools of destruction - 8-10 hours and was a full $60 dollars.

doesn't make any sense.

Same here. Im only getting it for the Reach beta honestly. It'll hold me until COD and Uncharted

Im guessing an 8.5 though, but not the usual 9.5 from a Bungie made game

I wouldn't know, I'm from sweden. The home of piracy at the moment and we don't pay for anything, so must people who where keen in testing the game probably already has done so. The game takes 5-6 hours to complete if you don't rush things is what i hear.

You know, most x360 games decrease in price after launch. YOu can probably get it preowned $40 before christmas. If you want to play it so badly, then maybe you should consider paying $60 since the price of something is based on demand.

its about as long as most games these days (8-10 hours), at least it has the decency to add a new multiplayer mode and every Halo 3 DLC. For someone who hasnt bought any of the DLC, this is especially a good deal.Waffle_Fish
so it should be no more than 20 when comparing it to one of the best, if not the best (of course people are entitled to their opinion) DLC this gen which is GTA4 : The Lost and Damned. Same length as ODST, decent story (for non-haters of GTA4, who actually enjoyed the story), tons of MP that adds many hrs, etc. Even if you dont agree, 60 dollars is ridiculous. (i consider it a DLC)
