A well executed hybrid whereby the Kinect implementation shines making it a unique gaming experience that I've never had before.

Not exactly a fan of this type of game, but I'll be happy if it turns out good. Maybe more devs will try this hybrid approach.

Waste of time. These guys see Kinect and have already made up their minds.

They hate Alan Wake bec....actually it is on the PC so Alan Wake is good all of the sudden.

They hate Forza because it gets releaded every 2 years instead of every 2 decades

They hate Gears just because.

And they really hate Kinect. Part of it is justified but they have never explained why they hate Kinect Sports when it is better than Wii Sports or the Sports game on Move which apparently sux because no one knows the name of it. Gunstringer is brilliant so they do not mention it. They also slam Sesame Street and Kinectibles because...well, they do not have and will never have kids. They see them as casual crap and a waste of time. I see them as a gift from God because I can now watch a football or basketball game in peace and I do not have to worry about a controller getting screwed up. My kid also learns something in the process and is in a better mood and more loving after they get to play on the 360.

But System Wars logic says Kinect is casual crap and Microsoft sucks. The reson is because it is a billion dollar company who is detwrmind to provide you with years on entertainment. And these pricks think they are above Microsoft because they can set on their jobless, uselss, tails and talk smack on a message board ans accomplish nothing. Bravo.

Kinect just isnt very good.

As an example, my partner tried Halo Aniversary with kinect the other day when I was around. This is what happened...

'Reload!'

1..2..3...Character reloads.

'Grenade!'

1...2...3...throws grenade.

It is basically sh1t, and cannot replace a controller in any way without fail. A game that uses both will still be punished by using the kinect.

its not supposed to replace a controller for ALL games.

it actually works impressively well with mass effect 3, though it is just voice controls.

Yeah, I know. I was just really surprised at the lag between giving a command and it actually doing it. It happens on the dashboard but no where near as much as in game. Check out H:A if you have it and you will see what I mean.

I see, I think its a real shame though, as that delay makes it useless in games. If the delay isnt present in other games then thats cool, but a 2-3 second delay for a command is unplayable.

At least the delay doesnt affect movement tracking. Otherwise it really would be completely useless.

Yeah,I was always under the impression the entire 360 community is made from 12 year olds,thanks for confirming that one for me ;)

Not sure about Anniversary, but Kinect works quite well with ME3. The wife started using it on her first playthrough and it seemed to work quite well with it. So I started using it with my playthrough. It's way quicker to swap guns, heal up, and use powers with Kinect than going through the actual menu to do it.

So I guess it just depends on how well the developer programs it. Bioware has done a really good job. Although for some reason they left out a reload function....stupid....but it is just a quick button push so no big deal. For the things you usually have to go into a menu for the Kinect is much faster.

I hope it's another step foward to fulfill the potential of motion controls. But first it has to be a reality.
