I dont think you can pinpoint whatthe best game ever made is as everyone has different tastes, however my personal favorite is Banjo Tooie, followed by Shining Force.

There are has to be a best game for each genre, there can't be only one best game for all genres. Some of my choices are Diablo 2, Super Street Fighter iv, Counter-Strike Source, Donkey Kong Country, Unreal Tournament 2004, the longest journey and many more.

You're correct the best game ever comes from the Legend of Zelda series, but you are mistaken as to which game it is.

The correct answer would be The Wind Waker.
