I love how theres hardly ANY auto-aim. This will frighten away the kids for surekrp008

i think its still fairly easy to play, any halo player will be able to pick it up still.

 So... The "Legendary Edition Helmet" is just a Motocross helmet, painted in green and with silly neon colored glass. Yes? No?TNT_Slug

i really want the legendary edition, not for the stupid helemt but for all the extra content :P

You beat me to it I was just gonna post this. I love this pic. Just the look in this pic is great from an artistic point of view. This game is gonna be great, is great for those who are playing it now....unlike me :(

I hear there's a new mini dance game online version you can play now with up to 8 players. Who ever dances the worse is sent to his death against 100 brutes. But the dancing looks fun!! lol

I have a question

 Since this isthe Beta Test... isn't there a thing to input errors you found? Like a feedback thingy Beta Testers might have.

I wonder how many people are doing that if that's the case cause that's the main point with this Beta, to fix any problems and get good feedback

the lockon for the plasma pistol has been severely decreased since halo 2 so dont plan on seeing too many do that. on a seperate note it would be funny if someone chucked a powerdrainer into the man cannon which caught a banshee in midair.

What's the powerdrainer again? 

its that ball you find that looks like a big plasma grenade. when you drop it theres a blue dome that goes round it that drops peoples shields (or makes them drop faster when you get hit), explodes after a few seconds and can stall vehicles.

But at the same time, I really wanted Bungie to take the plasma pistol out of the game altogether, or at least out of multiplayer. I am so sick of dealing with unskilled players relying entirely on the noob combo :x 

Anyone else think the new "distant gunfire" sound effects are badass? The sniper sound in particular, when somebody is sniping on the other side of the map and you hear that absolutely amazing echo-type sound. It sounds like a jaguar.Ninja-Vox

I hear that the homing on the plasma pistol has been greatly reduced, and the noob combo isn't as much of a problem.  It will still drop your shield if you get hit, but you can simply strafe to avoid it.

 I'm glad.  Sounds more like the Halo 1 plama pistol!

 I may have to rent crackdown this coming weekend to check this beta out.

Rent Crackdown? It's very much worth owning. Leveling up your character to leap from rooftop to rooftop at greater distances is way fun. And why just shoot the baddies when you can pick up an SUV and slam it down on them. So much more satisfying :)

Strafing a charged plasma shot in Halo 2 was more an exercise in luck rather than skill. 

There are very few things H3 needs to fix and the fun factor for me is through the roof so far this beta.  I'm just very disappointed in the gaming community as a whole right now because we finally get the opportunity to test and provide input on one of the biggest console games, and everyone that has an SW agenda goes right at the flaws a beta is intended to fix.  So thanks everyone who has done so.  I look forward to not being able to try out and provide feedback on future games on all consoles because of such negative attitudes.  Long live doctored screenshots, dev diaries and CGI 'gameplay' vids every few months (and that time frame is if we are lucky) :roll:

no matter what you do or what game you make you will always have people complain. damned if you do and damned if you dont. fortunatly the good comments heavily outweigh the bad.

OMG I gotta try the Banshee. I notice everyone starts screeching with dismay when I use that floating vehicle in the snow level. I guess its "n00b" to use. It doesn't really bother me I just start crying a little.

Pretty huge number for such a short time.

I think it's because the Banshee won't seem as powerful now. Especially since a Plasma Pistol is useful. So they can add it on the Banshee. 

I am so hooked to the Beta right now. If Bungie just released the Beta as a final product product, i might just buy it. If i could, i would play the beta all night and day (but i DO have a life)

And to the people saying the assault rifle being a starting weapon is a mistake. I think the AR is the best weapon in the game!  I use it the most. Throw a grenade leading off a running enemy, then shoot him wiith the AR with a few shots and hes dead.

And i was owning those man cannon jumpers with the SPARTAN Laser in Valhalla last night. I killed 6 jumpers in a row! Now that was a saved film moment 

this is probably going to stay stickied for a few weeks now. for anything and everything halo 3 related, keep it here or in the halo 3 forum. the minimum suspension is one day and this includes replying to any halo 3 threads because that's what keeps them active.

All these Sony Fanboys know they want to play this game so badly, but they just keep saying it's going to flop and that Halo sucks.

Yet they can still argue that this looked nothing like the "realtime" trailer of MC. Which wasn't realtime and the singleplayer story wont look like that, it wont look much better than the multiplayer.

Ohh and why are people taing pictures of screens? Halo 3 has a lot of jaggies, but doing that just makes them not noticable. When I played it, it looked pretty bad. Put it this way, GeOW looked better.
