anyway, im still hoping it will eventually find its way to 360 since i have a few friends interested in it. if not then il have to make do with the ps3 version.

This absolutely astounds me.  Yesterday not many people bothered to mention Haze at all, and some people probably didn't know it existed.  The only thread I saw on Haze was about a new trailer.  That was before the big announcement.

Ever since it was announced that the PS3 was the lead platform, guess what?  Haze has hype.  People know what it is.  And more and more people are saying it will be amazing or great or whatever.

It's absolutely stunning how much attention a game can suddenly get once something like this is announced.  It goes both ways, too, with Assassin's Creed and Devil May Cry 4.  The Sony fans cared so much about these games, saying they would destroy -insert game here- on the 360.  But once they went multiplat, nobody really cares anymore.  Wow, just wow.

I see a lot of people praising the Timesplitters series but IMO it sucked. It looks like Free Radical is finally getting the backing they need to produce a great game. Looks good so far, a mix between Halo and Crysis with a strong strain of political philosophy running through it. This might actually push me towards PS3.JiveT

I already have my own political philosophies I don't need to listen to that jargon in a videogame...

 Anyway, I wonder if Free Radical will let your character have the ability to jump (or at least climb over 2 foot obstacles) this time around...

This is only you cuz you didn't track it and obviously you are playing Halo all your life.But a lot of people like me that tracking it since it's announcment cuz everybody wants to know Free Radical's(TimeSplitters) next big hit.So yes it is the next big thing.And by the way I posted last week comparison betwwen Halo3 and TimeSplitters and the result was %60 for TS and %40 for Halo, cuz alot of people hated Halo so yes alot of people waiting for HAZE.

I don't know what's up with the exclusivity and I don't care. This game first popped up on my radar when the fist trailer was released. Loved the cheesy satirical tone. Now it looks like they've changed direction a bit and it has a more serious, mature tone. Definitely not a bad thing but I certainly will miss the crazy live action stuff.

Anyhow, the plot of this game sounds quite interesting, and what makes it moreso is that it bleeds into the gameplay. One of those messes-with-your-head deal that I like so much. And according to fairly vague statements by Free Radical the writing will be a bit more mature than what we've seen in games so far.

HAZE takes a unique and challenging point of view on the presentation of war in videogames. The themes of the narrative cover dangerous topics - the ethics of war as entertainment; how we absolve ourselves from the responsibility of shooting another human being, just because we're told to. It's edgy stuff.

I can't say too much about it even at this stage, but it asks questions and raises issues that are worth debating long after you've finished the game. Visually, HAZE will certainly set a new benchmark, but we believe it will also set a precedent for the quality of writing that we believe should exist in the next generation of games.

Also, 4 player splitscreen, LAN and online drop-in co-op. Exclusive or not, this game is on my possible-buy list.

I think the reasons it's finally getting some of the spotlight in SW, is because

1. Rumors of being exclusive or time exclusive to PS3

2. A bunch of new screenshots, new trailer and gameplay footage.

thats alot of Timesplitters and while all good games no AAA and 8.7 for Timesplitters 2 I remember everyone agreeing at the time that that was too high a score...

I don't care what one Gamespot reviewer thinks about the game. 8.7 is a great score anyways.

my memory of people opinions could be off it was 5 years ago...but I remember all the people I game with not liking it probably because it wasn't live enabled maybe?

The graphics are just awful. There is over the top bloom and then there is haze. Is it based in heaven or what because it sure damn looks ;like it. Everythings glowing!

Why do I hear people say "I hope this comes to (insert console)" like mirlegend up above? It is already listed as coming to the 360 and...PC, I believe. They just dont have a date for the 360 version yet where as there is a date for the PS3 version. So, whats the hoping for?

Are you refering to when the Nectar injected? :| It has to be that, because in just normal gameplay the bloom is hardley there. I'm pretty sure FRD made the bloom effect more prominate when you're on Nectar on purpose.

Again, I doesn't matter what one reviewer thinks of FRD's games. TS2 was defiantly AAA calibur. If someone else reviewed Halo and gave it a 6.0, that doesn't make it a non-AAA calibur game.

I'm not hyping it as the best shooter ever... but I predict it will defiantly be up there .

TimeSplitters was the most underrated game believe me, and Obviously you did not play it that's why you talking like this.You remember how great was GoldenEye 007, TimeSplitters was and still way much fun and exciting than Goldeneye 007.

I did play it...and after the review had hyped it up I was disappointed it was good but it was not on the level on Combat Evolved...had a good array of guns but the shooting mechanic was lack luster and the AI was not even close to the level of Halo...Halo set the benchmark in 2001 and TS:2 didn't reach that level one year later IMO...underrated at 8.7 r u serious
