OFFICIAL: In-Game XMB, Trophies Soon

PS Blog confirms it. I know it's been going around on here, but it's finally confirmed by Sony.

Yeah it took them long enough. It's amazing that it's "news" to hear about it from Sony for a change.

I just hope they get this out soon instead of making us wait all the way through 2.36, 2.365, 2.37, 2.371, 2.372 and so forth.

So how exactly will it work? For example, im playing Metal Gear Online, will i now have two friends lists? Since MGO has a separate friends list to my main PSN friends list?

I read an article a week or two ago that it was scheduled for 6/12, but they found some bugs in the final QA process.

Dreams what made you so angry lately?? I'm guessing it's the very next update. Software revisions don't go up in .1 increments.

Let me correct this,

firmware version 2.36 is coming soon

and

firmware version 2.40 includes trophies and in-game xmb

so nobody still knows when 2.40 will come.

Microsoft however have specialised in software and network solutions for a loooooong time now. Also, they have to do it within certain limits without taking away any memory and processing power from games.

Well, PSN is free... so... you shouldn't expect it to be as good as XBL. Just be patient!
