I think I'm gonna go with Zack & Wiki. When you finally solve thoses clever motion sensing puzzles, man it feels great.
But I'm playing Pro Evo right now and pull off a great strategy play with precise use of the wiimote and end up with a crazy goal... the feeling is just as great. So that could be it.
Or maybe it's Trauma Center cuz thoses operations are freakin' challenging and leave barely no mistakes to be made. You have to be quick and precise. So yeah closing up the patients after finishing a operation bring a great feeling of accomplissment.
Oh man can't choose.
Call of Duty 4. The ending was so awesome. You watch as the main bad gun finishes off all your friends as you watch helplessly. As he walks over to see if you're still breathing, a friendly helli comes wizzing by and he turns around.
You're thinking "**** you man", as you pull out your pistol and the game goes into slow motion. You fire at his head and he hits the ground.
Awesomest thing ever.

No point in playing that game now. There is a spoiler tag you can use.

Wow, you're seriously not going to play one of the best FPS's ever made because of a spoiler in the story?
Since when did anyone play FPS's for the story? (Well, maybe Bioshock and Half-Life).
This is a tough one. I want to say Crysis, because it delivered in so many ways that I can't even begin to talk about, however, the last third of the game was a bummer for me. I also want to say Call of Duty 4, but the length of the campaign, plus some other minor things, really bothered me.
So in the end I'm left with The Orange Box. If there was a satisfying purchase for myself, it has got to be that.

Still, its a spoiler, spoiler tags are needed.
But on topic.
I would say halo 3 with CoH being in a close second.
Man I reckon that this generation has to be one of the most impressive I recall. The N64 days were sweet as were the SNES...but of late, the amount of top tier games out is astounding!
My vote goes for CoD4 or SMG!

i applaud you... for talking about Wii without mentioning nintendo :)
i'd have to go with Mass Effect
that's since it's official, otherwise i would have chosen Boom Boom Rockets :P
my list would be (in no particular order. top 2 games for each console IMO):
1.Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
2.Resistance: Fall of Man
3.Super Mario Galaxy
4.Super Smash Bros. Brawl
5.Halo 3
6.Gears of War
Does anybody think that Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of The Patriots is potentially going to be the most satisfying game of this generation? (and yes that includes Metal Gear Online)
armymen4
It easily has a legit shot. it has almost as much hype as Halo 3 did, so i could imagine that if it can deliver a 9.7-10 then it def. is.
For me its been easily Lost Odyssey, thats my favorite game of this gen.
Honestly though, and even a bit shocking to me, being mostly an RPG fan, my second favorite game this gen has been Uncharted. It's just a really freaking fun game to play.
evilross
Lost Odyssey is my favorite as well
