Spike awards? No thanks, They have Little Big Planet and Fallout 3 in their 4 picks along with Gears of War 2 and MGS4 for Best Graphics.

We all know what game should be in there, and it's not. Console biased = Fail.

But I think it´ll be either GTA or Fallout. Doesn´t really matter tho, I think they all deserve it.

Here is my reasoning:

LBP: Fresh concept for a game and they pulled it off fantastically. Really brought something new to the console gaming market

MGS4: Masterful story telling, beautiful presentation and spectacular gameplay. Greatest finale to any video game series.

GTA4: Hype train. Its not a bad game by any standards, a definite 9.0 game, but its not GOTY worthy. GTA: SA was GOTY worthy.

Gears2: Fantastic graphics and amazing gameplay, but in reality...its too much like Gears1. Not a big enough leap to earn GOTY.

Fallout3: KILL IT WITH FIRE!!!!! Seriously Bethesda, just stop. Oblivion with guns does not deserve GOTY. Monotonous scenery and a terrible combat system should not get GOTY. They should only give FO3 GOTY if Bethesda agrees to sell the IP to another dev company. At this point, I would be happy if Bioware acquired it (and I despise KOTOR games :evil: )

If anything but MGS4, GTA4, LBP, R2, GeoW2 get game of the year, Jack Black might have done that Shytestorm move :P

I lost any respect I had for G4 with Fable2 GOTY (I think MGS4 won like 4 categories yet not GOTY *sigh*)

other than GOTY all the other categories are almost all casual games, which is typical of the VGAs

im only gonna watch it for the world premires, all awards others than GOTY are a joke
